Big shout out to the crew here. Still rolling in my '03 Tundra SR5, with only 14,4000 miles !!!! Started posting on TundraSolutions.com way back when, but they don't seem to be very active anymore, so dropping a line here. Stock truck, TRD I.S. rims wrapped in BFG AT TKO's, Performance Products chrome tubes, and many coats of Griot's Garage Best Of Show on the outside. Audio only upgrade on the inside including full Dynomat wrap, Alpine 9815 head, Boston Pro 6.5" Comps, (2) Boston Pro 8" subs in a QLogic stealth box, RF Power 451 running the comps., RF Power BD1000 running the subs. Jade really is/was/is one of the best colors they did in '03.

Thanks a lot @Kerch71. Well, hehe, I kinda have a drum problem, and my wife will attest to that. Have more than a few, but the one that I can't stop playing is a newer Pearl Masters Lava Bubinga.

 

Dude, that's righteous! I play a Gretsch Cat Maple with Stewart Copeland Tama snare, Tama low tune Octobans, and Sabian cymbals. That bubinga is NICE! Bet it sounds great.

 

Birch wood is beautiful!

 

VERY nice @Kerch71, as soon as I saw those Octos I immediately thought "Stewart". VERY sweet kit, and I love that kick head.

The irony here, is the color is called Lava Bubinga, but it's actually a 100% Birch kit. Pearl has perfected their stippling process where they print (how the hell do they do that ?) the outer shell somehow ??

@Kerch71 I have no clue how they do it, but they do it really good. Am I saving the forests of Bubinga ? I guess so. Not as much as I used to. Haven't been in a working band for over 15 years. I got tired of lugging my big ass ball and chain kit around so I picked up a whole lotta mics, a Presonus StudioLiveAI board, and figured it would be easier sending project files as opposed to lugging the kit hehe.

TundraSolutions wasn't bad at first but Tundras.com has grown exponentially over the last several years. This is a quite active forum. The best Tundra forum now IMHO!
