    I have a 2012 Crewmax sr5 TRD I was wondering if anyone has upgraded system and has their old JBL touch screen laying around and possibly want to sell?

    Oh man I read I have to get the speakers harnesses the JBL amp... Whoa sounds like a nightmare might as well get a aftermarket.

    Thats what i did with mine i rewired everything. do it right the first time...

    Yep, not to mention the signal quality is crapfrom factory radios, including the jbl. I did the same thing, rewired the entire truckk and replaced the whole system.

    So you installed a new head unit and replace all the speaker wires?

    Yes. I did because I had to run wire to the two amps anyway. Toyotas wire is extremely thin. If you dont amp the system, just get a really good head unit and use the factory wire. I always over do projects.

    I found your old build for that and man! I'm gonna buy that sound proof stuff and do the same....did you have a book for taking the panels Orr and doors...I ask because you know there is always that one screw or latch or clip you can't see and end up breaking it... Or is it pretty straight forward?

    No book, but there is are a couple tricks to the door panels. Im out right now, but when I get back ill either try to write how or put a link here. It's not too major, but my suggestion would be to buy a bunch of the plastic door clips. They never work as well as when they are first put in.

    And here is one to show how to get the head unit out... just go slow and you wont break anything.
