Plasti dipped mine. It’s a temporary thing until I do other mods. Added the center cap too. Spent about $18 per wheel.

4 coats of Plasti-dip. 2 coats of glossifier. Never even took them off (had to protect the brakes though.).

 

Did you mask the tire or did it just peel off? You’ve inspired me to give this a shot.

 

Just peels off. Super easy.

I put a trash bag over the brakes to protect them.

It was an expensive swap considering it was just the TRD piece. But, I like it better with the original trim instead of the glossy black. I wasn't sure I was going to like the glossy and luckily for us, it doesn't fit. Subtle red TRD accent.

 

Very nice, glad I inspired someone to spead some money since too many people inspire me.

 

$59 well spent because I like my wheels like this and moved away from black rims. It's a nice contrast on all black truck.

So you saved me money on powder coating.

Do you have any concerns they could work themselves out? Mine couldn't reach the retaining holes on the back to clip in. I considered gluing them, but I suppose if one falls out, I can replace it and then glue them in.

 

I used 3M emblem glue behind the circle and on the clips then filled the clip holes.....they ain't going anywhere.

 

Looks great,definitely considering this on my sport. Anyone know if there is a decal out there that would be a cheaper option? Or do you guys think going with the insert gives a more finished look?

I glued mine on as well. Despite the cost, it's a great subtle addition.
