We’ll split up and you guys head to town to eat, or back to the Visitors’ Center to y’all about trucks, or you can go fishing  then meet us back at the campground with the day’s catch.

Edit: I said ‘you guys’ because you’ve shred that you need to keep babying your truck; so I’m assuming you’ll be up for the rest of it, but not the bigger challenge on White Mountain— which is open to trucks with LT, or a locker, or experience + really big cajones. :eek2:

Hahaha! I don’t think you need worry. I think a few (most?) may try the 4x4 portion of White Mountain that should be accessible to stock trucks, and which is a route back toward camp at Crab Flats. The other bit, maybe just a coupla crazies. I’ll admit, we all know I’m more than a little crazy :D
and really want to see how Hulk will do. :muscleflexing:

Part of it is that I just don't want to drive alone to Big Bear for a day trip again. What should have been a relatively short drive to San Bernardino (~2 hours) ended up being over 4 this last Saturday and I just really don't feel like going that again this weekend. Also, after slipping off my line on a trail recently I think that I would like to add a bar or skid plate to protect the catalytic converters. As for September, I'm just not a fan of large group runs. I might go if I can get a passenger (or be someone else's passenger). I'll probably just do some shorter runs to Anza-Borrego for my next few trips in the dirt.

Wow! Your truck did take a hit. I’m hoping for no damage this weekend but haven’t installed skids yet, so I’ll be looking for that good line for sure*.

I saw you asked about riding shotgun but I didn't offer up because I’ll have my son as a sidekick for this one. He’s all about front seat navigation duties.

Yeah, the drive to Big Bear from San Diego sucks. But I figure 4 times a year won’t kill me, and I enjoy the company as well as the dirt, so I’ll make it happen when I can.

*For anyone reading along, I’m referring to the extra credit run on White Mountain. The main run planned requires NO lift, skids, or sliders. Easy peasy and fun!

    ****NEWS FLASH!!!!!!****

The meetup point has been changed!!!
(Executive decision by Sunny and I)

    New rendezvous point will be:
GREEN VALLEY LAKE! Reason being that it's much closer to Crab Flats. Instead of meeting in Big Bear, just to loop back to Crab Flats. We'll get on the trail sooner, get to camp quicker, and have more trail time that Saturday. Hope this isn't an issue for anyone. Contact me for any details. I'll update the first post.

    33271 Green Valley Lake Rd.
    Green Valley Lake CA 92341

This is the post office address. Just park in the lot in front of the lake.

    @TheFreshMouse @JasonJK @nlaroy @nishibot @JDL17CM4x4 @eccracer104 @fisherman951 @computeruser6 @Pinay @porkitt @Marty McFly

Hope I didn't miss anyone. See you then!

Exactly the reason we're changing plans a bit. We'll be able to offload the gear, setup camp, then hit the trail without all the extra cargo. My wife doesn't like the tougher trails so she'll be hanging out at camp. She'll be keeping on eye on our stuff.

 Makes sense. It's on the way. I'll hit it if it's dry. Last time I tried it, it was wet. And driving on wet, crushed DG is like driving on grease! I showed you that video Joon. Lockers love finding the low point in the trail when it's wet! (there's a joke in there somewhere):burp: IMG_2124.jpg

Probably not. We're going to get there late and we're going to have way too many fat pigs in our group to even attempt it. I'm pretty sure this is how it's going to go. We'll get there and watch for a bit. If it's not too busy, me and Alex will start calling eachother a pussy until one of us mans up and tries it. That guy will get stuck. We will spend the next 30 minutes trying to get that guy unstuck. Once he makes it through, the other guy will have to try it too. Then he will get stuck. And 30 more minutes of recovery. Then it'll be time to go to camp.
