Over the last week, I (with some help from my dad) have done an oil change, tranny fluid change, greased all grease points, replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner, timing belt and tensioner, water pump, thermostat, all timing belt rollers, and (unwillingly) had to change the coolant out lol. I should have taken more pictures but, here's what I have. Recently I also put in a clean air filter and am planning on doing the fuel filter.IMG_3970.jpg IMG_3971.jpg IMG_3972.jpg IMG_3973.jpg IMG_3974.jpg

Awesome and cool that you’re Dad is up for helping out. The 4.7 is an amazing engine. I had a 2001 and just upgraded to a 2019 Tundra early this year. It will last a very long time if you keep taking care of it

The rich people on this site with a lift makes me sick.

Get on the stone driveway and change it like a man

    :)

Or, damn, wish I had a lift to do work but my wife would have to check the dresser to make sure I still lived there

    Nice garage you have there.
I'll have the same setup when I hit the lottery.
    Happy wrenching!

Has to be one of those businesses for DIY auto maintenance enthusiasts...they rent the lift/space. Wish I had one near me with a professional quality spray booth.

It is my dad is retired Air Force so we have access to the base auto hobby shop for $8 an hour we get to use a lift and all the tools you could want. But, it's only open Fri Sat and Sun so, if you're like us and couldn't finish the project it just sits there all week and you can't do anything.

We're almost complete with our 4-day service lol all we have left to do is put the radiator back in, install the new fuel filter, replace the shot main rear drive shaft bearing, change the transfer case fluid and, the differential fluid. Speaking of that does anyone know what diff and transfer case gear oil these rigs use?
