Alright, Im looking for a good secure, solid mount for my phone. Nothing plastic and cheap. Im tired of suction cups, drink holder and stick on mounts. I looked at the RAM mounts. Any other suggestions? Needs to hold up to off road driving.
    Thanks

Care to share the link? I feel like I've read every thread on the topic, but who knows.

I am also on the hunt, and this may be wishful thinking, but I'd love a good solid off-road capable mount that includes wireless charging! Is that too much to hope for?

Scosche magic mounts with the adhesive attachment for the mount itself have been in all my vehicles for some time now. They are awesome, if you get the pro version ($20 instead of $12) you can even make the bezel match the silver of our trucks:

Held up to the off-roading I was able to do, bear in mind I didn’t air down so it was really bumpy.

I have one of these. My phone tends to fall off of it.

Are you doing it through a case? I use the biggest plate I can on my phone and I really have to yank it off.

Yes. My case has a built in plate. Just doesnt seem to hold, specially when Im at my hunting lease on the bumpy roads.

Might be the case, like I said I hit some pretty big bumps and I have to wrap my fingers around the back of the phone and pull to disengage. But I pull my wallet case off when I pop it up there.

So, I bought this one from Oreillys Auto. One for my phone and one for my tuner. The tuner pictured is suctioned to the window. The one for my phone is actually screwed to the dash right above the stereo. Very stable and strong offroad, granted I had to put 2 small screws through my dash. It works great and I was tired of looking for a stable mount.

This is what I have gone with as well. It’s the best setup I have ever used, and holds tight in any terrain I have tried so far.

I love the proclip with magicmount xl. Doesn’t move when I’m rallying down dirt roads.

I have a very simple adhesive mounted magnetic ball mount that fits neatly to the left of the nav screen. Metallic self stick patch in the back of the phone. Cheap and it swivels any direction. Love it. Easy in and easy out.

If our built-in nav wasn’t from the 90s sure. Eventually I’m going to swap out for a CarPlay system so I don’t have to worry about it.
