I can PM you who I used for mine. I bought out of state for the warranty, no tax and no dealers out here could match his price. Came from a toyota dealership in KS.

I tried that KS dealer but Toyota changed the rules and you have to go to the dealership in person. I ended paying a few hundred bucks more.

How long ago was that? I think it was about a year ago when I bought mine. He said something about toyota changing their rules, but I recall him saying they can't solicit out of state, but if someone reaches out to him directly they are able to sell.

Its been a few years mid 2015 I suppose...I was in DC at the time and the time/money to fly to KS negated any savings.

Weird. Like I said, I bought mine about a year ago and had no issues whatsoever. I verified with my local dealership service advisor that I'm in their computer and good to go.

@AZTundra I assume you bought your truck with less than 36k on it? If it has less than 36k on it you're free to shop around and purchase a policy from any Toyota dealer.
To the OP, you're going to have a hard time getting a Toyota policy since you're past 36k. Aftermarket policy shouldn't be a problem but who knows what they'll cover. Not sure how toyota verifies how many miles on the vehicle but if a service was performed after 36k, I would go out on a limb and say you're outta luck. This is just my $.02 and what I've dealt with in the past.

Correct. I bought the truck new and later added the extended warranty and also extended the Toyota Care to 75K miles. This did have to be done before hitting the 36K mark for the warranty and the extended Toyota Care needed to be done before 25K (when the factory Toyota Care ended).

I believe once you pass the 36K mileage or 3 years you will have a hard time adding the factory warranty if it's even possible. 3rd party warranties should be available, but coverage may differ.

They must have eased the rules...I talked to Jerry several times and he was adamant he couldn’t do it.
