I'm pretty sure I tested this successfully a few weeks ago..but it isnt working now on the 2018 Platinum. Is there a feature that I need to change to get this working?

I just did it in my 2018. No problems, back up camera works great, truck just stays in neutral.

Video or it didn't happen! :p So, how did you build up the courage to try it? I don't think I can.

I have a warranty so I was not worried... LOL! The engineers build in a lot of safety precautions these days to make them idiot proof. My Ram was the same way with the dial to shift gears. If I knew how to post a video, I would.

You could always upload to YouTube and post the link. I believe you though. :) I guess you were going over 25mph? Seems like I read that somewhere in this thread.

I hope this isn't just my truck, but when I open the tailgate I can let go and it has a "soft" drop. First time I ever had this feature.

Ya man, wasn't Toyota one of the first to implement this? If you look up inside the driver-side rear fender, you can see the strut. It's kinda like the ones that hold the hood open. They do eventually wear out and need to be replaced, just like the ones for the hood and most minivans.

I don't mind being on the ground so much, it's the trying to get back up that I dislike.

Fill the gas tank up, your "miles till empty" will no change until you put it in drive.

Just noticed the pull ring for removing the sun visor from the clip. Yesterday was the first time I had to move the visor to the side window since I purchased my truck in July. I really need to pay more attention to my surroundings.

I assume it is a pull ring. I looked in the owners manual and there is no mention of it and I also looked on Toyota of Cool Springs parts website. No mention there either. Since the ring is right at the point where the clip is on both visors, I assume it is a pull ring.

What do you use it for?

I see you have them hanging on the passenger side. My money is on pull ring. I would think sunglasses hanging on the driver's side would obstruct the view.

If I insert key to the door lock and hold it to the right it will roll all my windows down and roll them back up by holding it to the left.

I had no idea my windshield was heated until I was watching it be replaced and it had a wire hanging down. When I asked I was told it is the heater
