Glad to hear. I was almost thinking of posting a big-eyed sad puppy .gif. It's kinda like having a sweet new video game console but no games to play on it. :(:p

Mine was the same as well. I lost quite a bit of power from the BD to the OVTune at first. His base tune is quite mellow. I am 5 revisions in now (I think.. 4 or 5) and the power is back and stretched throughout the rpm band. Its much more smooth throughout instead of super jumpy like the BD was. Now we are just doing little tweaks specific to my mods. ITs a slow but steady process.

Waiting on final graph, but with +/- half a tank of 87 in the truck results are looking pretty good.

Wanted to get in on this. Have 2014 SC TRD Pro Crewmax, but the truck itself is originally a 2007. Engine and SC were added in 2014, but interior controls are 2007. Would this present an issue with your tune? Also, everyone on the thread is talking Harrops or Magnuson SC. This may be a dumb question, but my SC is a Toyota. Is the Toyota SC actually one of the other 2 just built for Toyota?

okay so here is from todays testing.
we had an issue with gearlock on the dyno so couldn't get more done, and was a bit octane limited (truck topped off with 93 but had 87 in the tank, actual octane likely around 88~89. not ideal for making power).

Regardless we saw good gains in the low and mid range.
Note, this is tuned gearlock vs stock + gearlock. This lower RPM torque that you see here actually isn't possible to get with a true "stock" tune, because the truck will automatically downshift if you try to floor it.

So this is True gains on top of maximum possible stock (with gearlock).

With 91 or 93 octane we would be able to see much much more (and without running into a stupid shift issue on the dyno).
Also I believe the reason the numbers are low overall are 2 things: 1 it's a dyno dynamics. Heart breaker dyno when not in shootout mode. and 2. Huge tires

    Ignore the squiggly part.
From 3800 to 4400 rpm is about 22-25ft lb gain.

Even more in the lower RPM, as we have some other graphs but the huge tires rolling on the dyno causes those squiggly lines.

Considering the octane and tire size, I am quite happy to see this much torque gain. Note, this is with stock + gearlock, so the reality is vs "true stock" vs "tuned gearlock" the torque potential is 100+ ft lbs due to stock requiring a downshift.

Oh, I thought that you were using a hub dyno where tires wouldn't distort the numbers.

Thanks for the update! This should be a good time, I'm sure that we're all looking forward to the experience.

Fyi, when he mentions tire size distorting, I’m running toyo open country 37x13.5...little bit of weight there lol, seen other videos of stock trucks tuned on same style dyno showing max 296 at wheel, then 474 at wheel post super charger, so all things considered pretty good

I can't wait to get the tune. I have stock size AT tires, 91 Octane Shell, and almost 800 lbs of stuff on the bed. I should be able to feel that low end torque. I still have the other tune loaded and even with this other tune, torque is a lot better compared to stock. Order 4902

Is the issue with the gearlock something you can fix or does it have something to do with the truck being on a Dyno?

Also, with your last paragraph, are you saying with your tune, there is the potential for an increase of 100lbs over stock? Sorry I keep reading it. I think I'm missing something, but maybe not?

I have a RCSB 4X4 non-FFV with pretty much nothing in it, the disadvantage for me is that I'm at 8,000ft elevation. Plenty of fuel; air, not so much. Our trucks are but a year apart, mind if I ask what ECU version it has? Mine's 0CG11, if I'm reading it right.

let me see if I can explain better.

There is a huge torque "potential" not necessarily "gain."

on a stock truck, if you're in s3, 2500 rpm and floor it, you downshift. the maximum throttle before downshift is roughly 40%
now with gear lock, s3, 2500 rpm, you get full torque possible, with 89% throttle.
so the actual torque possible could be in excess of 100 ft lbs compared to bone stock for a given gear.

It isn't a gain as much as it is ability to USE that torque now. Lets say you're towing and at 40mph up a hill, you need XYZ amount of torque to maintain your speed. Well on stock truck, it's going to downshift and scream in higher RPM.
With Gearlock, simply give it more throttle and USE that torque you could not use before.

this torque potential w/ gearlock should be extremely useful in towing situations.

Our kits will be officially leaving "development" status tomorrow.
For trucks that are N/A you will be receiving tune updates, and or your base files.

We have another truck going on the dyno beginning of September for Magnuson S/C.
Harrop S/C tune is still being worked on to be *perfect* for our harrop tuned kit later this winter.

That's funny as all get out, I actually had my email open and was about to offer my truck up for some basic beta testing (if it met the criteria). I guess that I'll just sit back and relax (Translation: F5 my Inbox, which sounds soooo dirty). I suppose that I could fire up TechStream and see if I can teach myself how to data log. Thanks!

I'm waiting for the Harrop kit, looking forward to it.

I just wish the US offered 95/98 octane fuel like most of the world already does.

And I guess while we are at it, my truck will be going on the Dyno, September 4th.

I'll be doing dap, stock and OV.
My truck is naturally aspirated, has Kieths dual exhaust and I've got 35s. I also have a stock intake box.

All of it should be interesting. I've wanted to Dyno my truck for a long time just to see what the dual exhaust did, if anything, for it.

The place I'm scheduled for uses a dynojet.

I've read that our trucks should be dyno'd in 4th gear. Something about a 1:1 ratio... Anyone have information on that or care to explain?
