Is there a section for tundra issues?

I ask because I had a ram before i bought my tundra and if you read the ram forums its problem after problem. I sold my ram because my friends was in the shop for 6 months waiting on an engine because the lifters destroyed the cam and there was too much metal in the engine.
i see so few problems on this forum

 

You no longer have to save for repairs just mods.. but mods will cost you just as much if not more just more satisfying!
Unless u consider cutting to fit bigger tires repairs lol

 

there are tons of problems in this forum, our problems are which lift kit is better, which wheel and tire combo, how to putting a 20 MPG sticker on the MPG gauge...

 

We do have paint color issues......BLAAAAACK...

 

Oh, we all have problems. Just not with our Tundras.

 

thanks. i know about the mod cost. i already put in a bed rug,tonno cover, changed brake controller, under seat storage, roof rack. air bags,12 volt solutions remote start, tow mirrors only had 4 months

 

Engine failure is why I got rid of a Dodge for a Tundra

No it was the 4.7 older truck. I just don’t see a 180,000 life expectancy for an Engine to be acceptable. Even with full synthetic and 5,000 mile oil changes. I’m hoping all the hype and lack of problems here are true. $30,000 plus for a truck that only last 180,000 is unacceptable

 

wow 180000 i would take considering that would take. me 15 years to get there

 

Mine's 11 years old and just rolled over 170k.

So far only one repair. The brake master cylinder started failing about a month ago. A couple of hours wrenching in the driveway and I was back on the road.

 

Not many issues.... but some of the current gens have cam tower oil leaks, rear diff leak/seepage ( do a search for both)... if you are buying new I wouldnt worry about those issues since very new 2019's have it. I would check the dash board if buying new, most are warped in center area and Toyota will refuse to repair it if is.

 

No these things are solid lol, if you looking for problems then this may not be the truck for you

Bigger truck....better mods

 

My previous 07 at 12 years needed a $20 power steering pressure sensor replaced......took me 30 minutes to fix that including beer break.

 

Yep, our Super White trucks are so fast, we’re constantly having to dodge around the slow black and gray ones!

Had to replace A/C blower motor assembly. No A/C for a few days sucked. 11 years on first not too bad.

 

You my friend have been misinformed somewhere. You are referencing fleet white obviously. Those of us that understand the facts know that we are referring to the greatest and fastest Toyota color ever made called “Super White”

 

LOL, not 100% true, maybe I got a lemon! But Creaking noise on right turns / articulating wheels, leaking upper ball joint and sweat on rear diff.. are these not issues? My truck is at Toyota right now.. they can't figure out the creaking noise. Gonna tear up my dash. SMH.

 

greatest color is def black. Also the issues we talk about on here like "leaking" are really minuscule compared to the other brands and their "catastrophic failure and 3 weeks in the shop for a new engine."

But still, for some of us new truck with "leaking" lol how low we've come to accept quality. Personally I don't accept that, but it seems every other person is okay with that.

 

Obviously another misinformed Super White owner. Ever notice it’s the same color as Charmin toilet paper? It’s so pillow soft, tends to blend so well, and it’s so slow coming off the roll? ......

 

Your funny... you obviously have no mechanical problem experience, go trade your bad ass tundra for a ford then report back in a year after they replace half your truck

You're right, I don't know nothing.. probably but I only recall repairing and working on old cars, not freaking new ones that leak or have issues and they refuse to fix it. Obliviously you think this is good quality, so Toyota says people accept this crap now we won't fix.

Bad ass? It's an opinion , any vehicle can be badass depends on how much you want to spend on it. Not every car that came off the assembly line is the same.

Three years owning a Chevy, didn't have leaks and creaks like this tundra. I know it has its own sets of problems but at least they admit to fixing it.

 

Don’t forget to fill up with premium whenever at the pump. And if you really love your truck, fill up with non-ethanol. Thank me later.
