It was a super cheap ebay cam. Like $8.

    What year is your truck?

My 2007 has the JBL and it just needed the CanBus adapter/interface from Dasaita to function perfectly. Maestro is not needed as the Canbus interfaces with the steering wheel. Front camera (depending on connection type) possibly can just hook straight into the Dasaita.

It does have Amp Pre-outs and there is a remote amp turn on wire.

Look at post #78 for the front camera. Could be use for rear/backup camera if your truck doesn’t have one.

It will integrate the factory back up camera and work just like factory when you go into reverse. The Fcam app can be used to view an aftermarket front cam or the factory back up cam at any other time.

I have an 08 with the factory jbl with backup cam. Would it be possible to enable a front camera using the “sonar” button?

So, at least for me, it seems as though the long presses don't really work? It says that it maps them, but then when I try it out, it just goes "beep beep beep beep" as if I'm pressing the button down, but it's not actually doing anything?

go to aliexpress.com and search for "dasaita 10.2 android 9.0" it will show you photos of the rear ... i personally went with another brand idoing and purchased from aliexpress. all these head units are rebranded but some have better customer service than others. my idoing is only 1 din without the dvd player so i have an extra pocket.

here is the url for the dasaita one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33014370012.html

i also run a usb dashcam through one of the usb ports and have a frac system hooked up since i had it before i purchased the radio.

Those who installed a front camera, where did you route the wire through? Anyone find a good install thread? Can't seem to find one.

Most go through the rubber grommet on the passenger side. RobMotive YouTube did an install and shows it pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFNYTeo0Fto

Mine is the 08 and has the sonar button I'd have to believe the 2007 had it as well. Can't wait for someone to successfully install whichever one has wireless carplay so I can pull the trigger on this upgrade.

The dasaita rep told me it has wireless carplay and Android auto. This is not true. This video review shows that it does in fact have wireless carplay. But Android auto needs to be connected through USB to work. My unit just came in today. Once I get time off work I will install mine with a front cam as well. I use Android so I won't be able to test wireless carplay for you.

They also included a USB adapter and module for tpms on my truck. I thought that was pretty sweet.

Lol of course. But nobody I'd call my friend :p
Honestly my sister does but she lives over 100 miles away. Some of the guys at work do but they're so technology illiterate I wouldn't let them attempt it, but then again I think that's why they have iPhones.

I know they sell units for specific vehicles with the install kits like dash trim and etc.
Universal I believe will just be the unit with the wiring harnesses.
Although I'd look at getting a better model than the one you have linked. That one only has 2gb ram 16gb storage and a different px30 chipset.

ok, thanks. so you bought this one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VBBZFBG/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?th=1
you have to ask for plug and play harness for the tundra and tpms module?
then all i would need is:
    1. dash kit
    2. factory gps adapter
    3. toyota usb adapter

assuming i can get 1,2 and 3 from crutchfield.

nothing extra needed for steering wheel controls?

    thanks.

Yup. That's the one I have. Message them when you buy it and let them know what year your truck is. They will send the harness and module. They also sent me the USB adapter. All you will need is the dash kit and gps adapter.
