How is fuel mileage and performance?
I have 33's now, flirting with the idea of 35s and a mid travel.

I only have about 150 miles on my 35's So it's really tough for me to give real insight here.

It goes.....but a re-gear would be nice if it weren't so expensive.

If I could do the tire size all over again, I'd go 35s again. So take that for what it's worth.

I didn't buy my truck to worry about gas mileage though. When she's thirsty, I fill her up. It is what it is.

Hey man wondering how long you've ran 35s on the 4.6. Idk if you have the tow package but i do, so that puts me in the 4.10 gears. How's the tranny shift? How's it going 80mph? When you go from a green light does it shift hard into 2nd??

I just put 285/70/18s on mine (34s) got about 500 miles on them and didn’t notice any change in performance I’m going to check the mileage on the next fill up

My 2011 4.6 came with 33s on 18 tsi wheels. I’m planning on leveling it and going to 35s next tire change but I imagine I’ll be itching to re gear at that point. I previously owned a 2014 5.7 liter on 35s so I’m already feeling the power loss switching to the 4.6 liter as it is lol.

Checked my mileage I’m getting 16 mpg now I was getting 18-19 mpgs before I put the 34s on don’t really notice much of a difference in performance but I’m coming from a Chevy 1500 that had 34s on it and the 5.3 in the Chevy produced about the same horsepower. In a few years I’d like to put 37s on it but if I do that I’d definitely need to re gear with that kind of set up and probably do a couple of other things to pick up some additional horsepower. Right now very pleased with my current set up.

    Isn't the 4.6 a Prius engine?

Not sure about that but the 4.6 is used in some of the Lexus models.
A friend had one in his Lexus and had over 250,000 miles on it when he traded it in and never had one problem with it. My only problem with the newer Toyota’s is the TSS my personal opinion is it’s not needed in a truck.

Ive been running 35s on my 4.6l for a little over a year now and i usually get about 13mpg - better than i thought.
It does shift into 2nd hard but once i get going on the freeway, i dont have any issues. Even if i need to get up to 80 really quick from 60-70, its smooth.

i think so, i dont plan on it myself. in the front i have maxtrac 3.5" spindles and fox coilovers set at 2" - with the caster set forward about 3.8 i only had to trim some plastic under the front fenders, really easy

Figured I'd jump on since I have a 15 SR on 35s. Fuel mileage is what you expect. On a long trip I can maybe hit 14-15 freeway but I also have add-ons and running heavy load e's
