Sometimes sitting by yourself, having a cold hard drink is best.

I prefer the Woodford Reserve over the Double Oak. I think the Double taste like sweet apples.

I usually enjoy whiskey either straight or an old fashioned in the winter time. Here are few pics of a few that I've really enjoyed. For those who don't like water to ruin their liquor I suggest looking into granite cubes or rocks. Your freeze the rocks then add them to your glass. They keep the drink cold but they don't water down your drink. IMG_5028.jpg

On another note to those who like whiskey and beer. Look into beer aged in bourbon barrels! Some of my favorite beers that are aged in bourbon barrels:
    1. Kentucky Boubon Barrel Ale
    2. Southern Star brewing (Black Crack Aged bourbon barrel) very hard to get
    3. Ranger Creek Brewing Texas Imperial Stout Boubon Barrel Series (Dark Beer)

You definitely should - disclosure: I volunteer to bottle for them 2 times a year, all the bourbon you can drink after a hard days work!
Actually, it is a blast - I also homebrew so this is right up my alley.

I do like the kentucky Bourbon BUT - a buddy and I are about to bottle ~17 glorious gallons of a stout we brewed, that has been aging for 6 months in a Garrison Brother's barrel. Sampled it last week - it is going to be awesome - estimated 17% ABV. I gotta try the Ranger Creek.

Really good smooth tasting whiskey. I use frozen rocks not ice. Distillery is only less than 1/2 mile from my house.

If you want to spoil yourself, try the Bulleit 10 year... that stuff is pretty much out of this world. The bad side is that it's hard to go back. The 10 year has a sight hint of smokey flavor if you're into that sort of thing
