Has anyone ordered the Quicksand grill or hood bulge from Sparks or Cool Springs Toyota?
Wondering how close the paint match is.
I've had mine painted twice and has been noticeably off. Its giving me a complex.
I'm just curious before I place an order.

Got mine from sparks and it seems to be off too. Although most I see are off a shade of two for some reason. There is a seller on e at that sells quicksand in aerosol cans that is very very close in terms of the body color. I just painted some flares with it and it’s is pretty spot on. About 50 bucks for a can of paint and 2k clear

My truck is white and I can notice a difference not as much as I see on your truck. But any plastic painted part against a metal you will see it for sure unless you have some bad ass painter that can some how fade them in. I say dont waist the money I think your truck looks awesome.

    ^^^^ This.

There are many different shades of all of the colors. The only way you will get an exact-ish match is if you leave the truck at a local paint shop and they can better match the paint to the rest of the body. I have a white grill and bulge from Sparks and it is close but still a little off.

On more thing OP what does it look like on a sonny day ? I can see it was cloudy out in that pic that makes a huge first impression on paint I think.

Find a shop that will scan your truck and then paint match it. The guy that built my trailer offered to have my truck scanned and he would paint match exactly due to fading/variants

The bronze rims on the quicksand is awesome. Black rhino has some ive been debating on getting.

I was wondering if using white primer instead of grey would lighten it up to a closer match. It looks much closer in the sun, but in Michigan there's a lot of not so sunny days.

I'm gonna try a matte black bug deflector and see if it takes away from the mismatched color by separating them with that.

I'm waiting on an order from sparks parts for a quicksand grill and hood bulge. I placed at the beginning of December to get my 2018 quicksand TRD PRO grill. It should be in around the first week in January 2020 from spark's part's. I'm planning on documenting the installation and posting pictures once it's complete.

PS. I am recieving the pro grill, front bumper covers and mirror covers all painted in quicksand.
