Guys i need some advice. I just bought a 19' TRD Pro. It rides like a dream. I want to lift it with 35-38" tires on it though. Do amy of you have any advice? I know bds makes quality lift kits, coil overs, with fox shocks. But im super new to this. What would you guys do?

:boink::spending:First thing I would suggest is selling your PRO FOX shocks to me so that you can purchase your new lift....

If you’re going 38” you’ll be up for some good chopping; and will vary on wheel offset

Why buy a PRO if you're going to swap out most of the upgrades?

I second that, its what I have. Readylift at 4in, was perfect for what I use it for

Kgb...im not looking to swap out most stuff, just want bigger tires. Bigger tires require a lift. Heres a pic of a truck i had years ago. I want to make this one look similar IF i can retain the ride quality. Lol ans as far as to WHY i bought the pro? I went to look at a 4runner with and for my wife, then i drove a Tacoma. No power. Asked how much more is that tundra over there. Was only a few grand more. Drove it.....SOLD! Loved the power, the exhaust sounds amazing, love the look of the truck. We left that day with 2 new Toyotas.

I went BDS 7" and fit 38s but there was a sawzall grinders welders and a big ass hammer involved in making them fit. Since you have the pro I believe there 3 inches higher stock? So u could make the 4.5" bds work for 38s.

Check out customwheeloffsets.com get different ideas on lifts, believe you can run 35s with just your stock setup, also Readylift should have out by now the +2 PRO kit total lift 4" keeps your Fox shocks

Wasting money on a PRO to gut it and lift it differently. Spending $10k extra on a SR5 with a bedstamp and then stripping it of all the "PRO" upgrades ... I don't get this. It's no longer a PRO

Ok, but i just want larger tires. Dosen't seem unreasonable to me. Plus this wasnt my dream truck. Just was better than the Tacoma i was looking at. So, i now own this truck. Now i just want to adjust it a little to my liking.

That's up to you to do whatever you want to do. It's going to be awesome no matter what. I'm not objecting to what you are doing, I just don't get doing big mods to an already modded truck. If I was buying a PRO I wouldn't be removing the "PRO" stuff. If I wanted 38" tires, I would be cutting up anything but a PRO to do it. I am however looking forward to seeing your PRO with some 38's!!!!

Was under the impression that the news Fox PRO coil overs were similar to the Bilsteins in that they added 2” or so of height in front. Quite a few guys on here fit 35’s with just front shims and a CMC on the previous PRO model.

38" will need some major chopping on anything under 7" lift. bulletproof has a 10-12 inch lift but i have no idea if it will fit the pro. @15Yota has a lift on his 15 and 42" tires on it now i believe. what are you using the truck for? functionality or just looks? 4x4 or 2wd?

Thats the way my truck looks like right now. I just want bigger tires. Rarely will it see off road. Not going for the whole mall crawler look but just bigger and better looking than the street tires it came with.

You said 35-38. I would go with 35s. At 38s you seriously need to consider re-gearing and that's even more money. You can fit 35s if you add 1" shims in the front to your existing Fox shocks. I believe those already have 2" of lift compared to non TRD Pro models. I would also had 1" lift shackles in the rear. You will most likely need a BMC to fit 35's as well. This is what they did to this truck in the video and it looks great IMO.

If you’re just looking for a nice solid, aggressive stance I think I’d look into doing 34”-35” on the pro. The Pro is a sweet ride as it is. Just give a little bulk but keep it like it is!

Agreed. I had the dealer put on 295/70/18 Ridge Grapplers before I took delivery of it. However, I'm getting my Coachbuilder shims and +3 shackles on tomorrow and considering going with the 295/70/18 Cooper STT Pro's that are .25" taller and .25" wider if they will clear my OEM UCAs.
