What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Did you go .120 or .188?

 

I went .120 and I feel like it's more then enough to handle anything you would throw at it. I can't even imagine how much heavier the thicker one would be.
Grade 8 bolts also included with kit

Not sure , I picked them up in person. About an hour away for me .
I'm guessing the common 100-200$ which I feel is reasonable considering their weight.

Rear bumpers on. For seems good, passenger side sits out a little more than the driver side... don’t know why yet. But minor complaint

@FirstGenVol those should work. That's what I used to swap my leaf springs out.

I have 2 sets of those, a smaller set of 3 tons, and a really nice set of 3 tons for my GTI. It's good to have backup.

 

So only one of our listed vendors has a bumper for 1st gens and it's the fugly ARB sahara bar bumper. Why don't we have any 1st gen vendors that make bumpers?

 

Hardly anybody makes first gen bumpers anymore. I can only name a few off my head.

Put some new A/C knobs in the truck from Amazon. When I took the dash apart a few weeks ago, 2/3 of them were very loose going back on. Looks like the metal clip vanished.

 

Coastal makes a diy kit.

 

Took out my modded airbox and put on the regular air box. My modded one has a hole up front but since it's been hot I figured I will go back to normal for a while.

Also cleaned my Airaid filter. I have to say, although I'm not happy with the design it seems to do the job well. Inside my upper airbox was spotless.

 

I actually have the 12 tons! They literally have made my life 100x easier working on lifted applications.

 

Ehhh. By the time I by those and a cutting tool I'm nearly at the price the shop quoted me to install them. I can see how those stands would help though.

 

12 tons??? I've never seen those!

 

Picked up a check from the trucking company and ordered a pair of TYC Capa from RockAuto. Came in at right around a bill each. Ill update once they're here next week.

 

Some dude in a second gen keeps taking my parking spot at work. I've parked there for 5 years because it's a spot where you get no bird shit.

Today I won, and now I maddog him.

 

That doesn't even look like a good spot bro. You have to take the ones on the end so you have 50% less chance of getting door dinged. Rookie move...

 

Sliders solves that problem.

 

All the end spots have trees full of birds. It took me a while to carefully select this spot. My buddy at work parks right next to me and one of the higher ups parks her Audi next to me, so I haven't worried about dings.

 

If you would just paint your truck white then you wouldn't see the bird shit..

put the oem license plate lights back on.. the ones that came with the bumper bled like crazy onto the tailgate and drove me nuts. i'll order new oem ones to match the fresh black plastic..

 

Got my fog lights working again. Now time to buy new fog light housings the whole thing for both sides. The passenger side of the fog lights of the wiring was completely ripped out so I am happy it works again.

 

300 pages of first gen goodness. We will all be broke soon!
