Looks damn bright compared to my stock halogens. I think I read a few pages back these would be compatible with the 2017 limited. If so, I'd probably be in for a group buy assuming the warning message issue gets resolved.

The 10% off code didn’t work with the headlights.

These have to be brighter, just not sure on the reliability yet. I trust TRS/Morimoto though!

The warranty of the XBs are 5 years. What’s the warranty on OE LED? 1 year?

I don't think warranty always coincides with reliability. To be clear, I feel we are on the same team here. I did my retro with all Morimoto parts, I love all of them. If I had the coin I would spring for the XB's without thinking twice.

I do feel that the OEM are made with quality parts and are reliable. It often seems OEM headlight assemblies outlast most aftermarket companies regarding hazing, moisture, etc. Morimoto is above others in quality in my opinion, however they are new and untested compared to the amount of 2019 OEM lights that are on Tundras all over.

My trucks been 1 yr, still works, no moisture intrusion, not falling apart LOL.. OE is like 300-400 bucks each, you can go through two sets before you reach the price point of Morimoto's, just saying.

So this is what I've sent to TRS ...

    Jamielle,

The headlights in all functionality wise do work as expected. This includes turn signals (sequential), low beams, and high beams. They work in every different scenario with the truck reguarding lamps on position, auto position, drl's only position and drl's off position on the headlight mode selector for the 18's and up. The cutoff is extremely well as expected and these are honestly the best headlamps made for the Tundra (retrofits included).

The automatic high beams on the upper-level trims work as expected with no change, as does the in cab height adjustment (0-5 dial) ... however I did notice after blinding many people...the dial is backwards from what it would be from the factory if my mind serves me correctly. 0 being lowest, 5 being highest OEM. With the XB's and this harness it is in reverse. No biggy at all, definitely livable.

Also when put into drl only mode on the headlight selector swith the drl's are in dim mode, when set in auto they are full brightness. This is different than OEM as there is no change in brightness of the white DRL until the low beams are turned on. Nice addition!

Now the little problem of the way the truck recognizes the new assemblies. When, and only when the low beams turn on ... (either done manually or when it senses it's dark in auto mode) after about 15 seconds or so a warning pops up on the center display stating "headlight system malfunction, visit your dealer"

The problem with this is it cannot be cleared like other notifications while driving or by simply turning the low beams off. The truck has to be stopped and turned off...and when turned back on if the truck recognizes the low (or high) beams aren't on, all is good with the world. Not until they are turned back on does the notification pop back up. The issue is it makes the center screen essentially useless. It can be cleared with the "back button" however just the pop up goes away and returns 5-10 seconds later. And the triangular warning light flashes the entire time.

Other than that issue, they work perfect. That warning does not inhibit the way the lights function at all. I will be trying to test different scenarios throughout the day and tonight again. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again!

They did respond back and are working on a fix for the OEM LED guys!

Edit: as TRS did ask what I ment by a DRL on mode, that is the parking lights on the selector. To clear up any confusion

Can any 18+ owners confirm what the factory headlamp horizontal control does? (0-5) dial...

Is it 5 in the highest headlamp position, or 0...

One would think 0 would be the lowest, but if my shotty memory serves me right, 0 is the highest.?

I'm not putting my factory headlights in to test this

I'm 99% sure 0 is the highest setting and 5 aims them down low. I can check later but I think that's how it is.

On my 2015 the 0 is standard and 5 is the lowest. I would assume that it would be the same for 18+ guys

@YotaMan so is the drl strip always bright on drl function and park lamp and low beam function? Your description was confusing.

The "parking light function" .. and dare I do say at this pont, 18's+ ONLY ... has the DRL in dim mode. ONLY in "auto" are the DRL's in high output.

yep. the highest you go in number, the lower you point the headlamp.I'm lifted and usually run between 3 and 4 so not to blind oncoming traffic.
