I was in the same mindset as you, except I waited for the new shoes to go on before making my decision. LOL.

I noticed you blacked out the badges, and to me, the black handles tie in nicely with black badges, black window tint, and black (or mostly black) wheels. However, my truck is MGM, so it's dark. On your silver, color matched may still look better.

You know, women should give us guys credit for all the thought we put into our trucks and understand we're capable of color coordinating and seeing the big picture at the end of the tunnel when it's something we are interested in...just not curtain and towel colors. LOL

Hey TTU19 - where do i get the trim tools to use? I desperately want to eliminate the chrome around the console. Has it held up for you?

Yeah plastidip has been great so far. Just search plastic trim tools on Amazon. I think I paid like $2 or something. It's linked somewhere in all these posts. I'm not home or I'd find it for you.

And you just worked your way around the chrome slowly popping it loose until it broke free?
    Thanks again!

You won't need trim tools to remove that piece. I removed mine by sticking my fingernail under it, and I barely have nails.

You could use a screwdriver as well, just be careful. The trim tools have really come in handy though. Taking off the grill, tail lights, interior bulb lenses, fog lights, etc.

They are the NFab 2 step nerf hooped bars ...

Yeah, I ordered the handles after I bought my new shoes (which should be here on Monday or Tuesday) but thought that I'd see if I'd like how the silver would look. Figured I could sell either set easily enough. Someone is always out there looking to replace the chrome ... Just like I did with my badges. Lol ...

Being red/green color blind doesn't help me with how I dress, but it also doesn't hurt me with regards to my cars since I haven't bought a red or green vehicle. Christmas time can be an issue though.

Yeah Im hoping it "settles" a bit. It Probably wont do anything until it warms up a bit next summer. They kinda squash them into the box.
So far they seem ok. I feel the weathertechs I have on the Taco cover more up the sides where the gas pedal is.

OK, so I put in the other light the other day and now my 3rd brake light doesn't work. To be fair, I'm not sure if it was working with only one led in. Any thoughts?

can someone tell me if my DC Has the long bed or short bed? Trying to order a muffler from @dirtydeeds. To me it seems like this would be considered short bed, but its not as short as the CM bed.

It's the 6.5' bed. The CrewMax has a 5.5' bed. There's a 8' bed for the work trucks.

Yeah, I'm aware of the length. But dirty deeds site has you choose "DC short bed" or "DC long bed"

Finished Dip spraying and replaced the trim ring. I hate spraying anything, I suck at it. The PlastiDip seems to be pretty forgiving of my lack of paint skillz though. The matte finish looks good with the rest of the console plastic.
