I am looking at some different front shocks/springs combinations at certain price points (under $600) and want long term durability like the factory shocks. Old Man Emu has come up in my search as being very reliable and about the same cost as Bilstein 6112. Anyone running these and any pictures and comments? Thanks (I did a quick search and did not see anything).

Theres a few of us that run OME. They have never given me any issues. I reckon it has made me a fan boy.
The Tacoma my boy drives has had OME for 9 years and still perform like new and they have 63000 something miles on them.
I like the way my Tundra handles on and off road, especially with the Dakar spring pack.
There are a few threads that talk about the OME lifts on here. You just got to dig around a little.

I have run OME for about a year now. I like them so far. I have the heavy 613 coils because it have the Arb front bumper. I run SPC upper control arms. I should mention I also have the sway bar delete, and haven’t missed it once. I’m also on the Dakar leaf pack.

You're running the same set up as me. I kept my sway bars though.

Thanks. If I end up going with them, I will get the normal spring rate.

@2ndgenny I am looking at the OME 612 with the Dakar spring pack, but I am reading about some folks having the spring packs go flat, any issues?

No issues yet. I have helper bags and daystar bag cradles. I don’t usually fill em up much. I have had a lot of weight in the bed without issue so far.

On my boys Tacoma, 9 years. On my Tundra, about 8 months. I'm running the medium front coils. No issues with the front or rear. It does real well on the trails and roads/highways. I knew I wasnt doing a winch or bumper, that's why I got the mediums.
It very comfortable to drive. It's not super harsh on washboard roads either.

If there is one dislike, its having to do rust prevention on the Dakar leaf pack. So once or twice a year I coat them with some rust inhibitor. I live in CO, so I do that to all of the vehicles anyway.

I had OME coilovers on my 07. Had no issues at all. A great value. I'm considering going the DAKAR's this time with AAL.
