I wish lake and porter would axe the emissions testing. Sucks to deal with

It's $8 up here. I took my 91 SHO to get inspected and nobody there could drive a stick. They all kinda came out and looked at the weird car with 3 pedals then just passed it. On the other hand, I took my other 91 SHO and a late teens girl came out and drove it around for inspection. Weird times we live in.

I used.to work in the service garage for a Ford and Chrysler dealership and I had a coworker that couldn't drive a stick. I would have to drive em in and out of the bay for em lol

How does someone get into the auto industry and can't drive a stick?

That's disappointing. I was planning to order from them. I was a bit turned off when you mentioned they don't come fully welded. You save money on the front end only to have to spend more on the back end by paying someone local to finish the job. It's basically a wash.

    I can drive stick...

But for whatever reason I cannot get use drive by wire throttles. Seriously, cable feels so much better with stick

I wish I went with WK. Not very impressed and less confident with my Victory “sliders”. Can’t wait to see them mounted up.

I was considering the victory's but found out WK was only a hour drive from me . So was able to save a couple hundred on shipping.

    What's wrong with victory's sliders?

I see the mounting points seem a little on the weak side for the victory's now.

That they are. I didn’t like how much they flexed on the forklift, pretty much resting on the pinch weld. Even worse when I tried my hi-lift. I need to weld on some gussets for the mounts and arms. They make great steps though.

I almost wonder if Victory is making products for all the Bro's that will never leave pavement? Have you considered sharing your concerns with the member on here to see what he says?

Sounds like it, I haven't had a chance to install and test out the WK. But just at first glance they Beefy and heavy AF.

I talked with @trailbikerider (1st set of sliders) and he did some math that made my head hurt but came to the conclusion that they should be strong enough to support the trucks weight. I will send Brian from victory an email with my concerns and see if he has a solution.

Had a rock the size of my fist come off of a truck head on at about 75mph. By the time I saw it bounce there was nothing I could do. Turned around and got the trucking company's number, and they agreed to replace it so, anyone got any recommendations on a set of OEM style housings?

Surprisingly most of them will cooperate with repairs if the trucks were hauling rock like that.

That's good to hear. I hit a rock the size of my head with my rear tire the other day. I was lucky it hit right there. It bounced off the cement roadside barricade, rolled around and came back at me. It was hit the barricade or try to put my tire on the rock. Pretty funny how it picked up the back of my truck. Anyway I was lucky but someone in a car or with smaller that 35" tires would have been broken. And people wonder why I will go 100 to get in front of a sand or rock convoy. Too many close calls.

Yeah, its a pretty common tactic to put those "Stay back 500 ft. Not responsible for broken windshields" stickers on trucks. I know here in TX that you're bound by DOT to secure your load no matter what but if a sticker keeps half the people from calling the company, whats to keep them from putting them on?

Plus I was really nice and told the guy to apologize to his driver because once I had the chance to cool off, I realized that he probably didnt know anything was wrong. And when some moron flies up behind you at 90+, flashing his lights while honking and waving and is outweighed by like 90 times, he probably seemed a little crazy.

looks like the parking light has some cracks too.
As to light brands - I ordered some Capa certified lights for the Tacoma on Amazon from Eforcity. There are some air bubbles in the lens glue on 1 parking light & the headlight has a tab snapped off - damaged in shipping & they are giving me a never ending hassle about taking the stupid thing back.
