Where did you order this one from? I'm having trouble picking one on Amazon. There's to many to choose and eBay is even worse. How can I find the latest model? I saw a comment on Amazon that they we're adding Android auto and car play to the newer models.

It shows you can also change the button light color. I may message dasaita and see if there's any major differences. I been dying for one of these. Mainly for videos for the kids. First thing my son told me was he loved my truck, but next time get one with a tv, lol

I'm pretty sure this is the latest model. Shows release date of July 17 2019. Other one you linked was November of 2018.
What harness do I need to retain steering wheel controls? I have the GPS and USB adapter, are there any other harnesses I'll need?

The first one doesn’t have that huge Dasaita logo though. That’s worth something.

I’m wanting to get the one you have to upgrade my stock jbl unit. Did you get the cordless CarPlay?

Mine is coming with the built in car play. Not sure about wireless CarPlay. To be honest I'm not an apple guy. We dont own a single apple device. I prefer to run the apps native on android right on the HU.

It comes with the can bus harness. You will need the factory usb adapter, factory GPS antenna adapters there are two.

Yes. I had the dasaita but got drawn in to the big screen prettiness of the Tstyle. Decided I cant stand the on screen climate controls so going back.to the same dasaita

Yeah I've been looking at the Tesla style unit for awhile. But I've seen to many problems and workarounds for things I don't want to deal with. I'd rather a head unit that works all the time.

Yeah I bought his dasaita and I have a gen2 tesla style currently. My tesla one does not have all the issues others have but it also doesn't have the upgraded cpu/ram/storage. I'm going to try to get the dasaita installed in the next few days and do a comparison.

when i order the unit from Amazon, do i need to tell the seller which canbus harness to include? also, the new version has built in carplay, meaning i don't have to buy the carplay dongle?

I just ordered the newest model. I asked the seller when I purchased it a few questions. Let them know which year your truck is and they'll include the can bus adapter. They also informed me the new model has wireless carplay and Android auto. I don't really use either one but I'll be testing it out when I get mine.

I'm curious why everyone cares about Android Auto/Apple Carplay (AA/AC) with this device. You can get a generic Kenwood/Pioneer that has AA/AC. This device is a tablet, you can run apps independent from your phone... Maps, Spotify, anything from Google Play right? So what's the deal?

I could care less about CarPlay or AA. Run all my apps native on the HU.

AA is actually pretty nice. Its a more streamlined app just for using in your car. It has your music and your nav attached to it. I only used it a few times though.

Yep, I have AA in my GTI, it's great! But again, I don't think I'd use it with the Dasaita or Tesla device. I'm paying more for the ability to run Android apps ya know?

Well sweet. After a two day delay in Shenzhen and getting pushed to a Tuesday delivery, my unit hit Anchorage at 3pm and is back to being scheduled for tomorrow.
