That's crazy you guys have build sheets. Did your local dealerships allow you to build and order yours already? I think my local dealerships are clueless.

Nah, I've just been bugging my salesman. These are sheets he emailed me on what they're getting in at the end of August. Build starts August 5th on the PRO.

There are multiple threads going on. I'm posting in all of them.TRD PRO build.jpg Platinum build..jpg

My salesman kind of bugged me. He said Voodoo blue is only coming to SR5... After getting my butt handed to me in some online gaming I raged and told him the deal is off.. He was like "nooooo! please!"

No BSM or Parking sensors... they raise the dam price but cant include basic features.
Better to go to Canada and buy a Pro, you get BSM and the parking sensors.

Curious as to why you want to ditch the Raptor.. I drove one the other, impressive truck.. only downside is sound and price.

So the raptor has been great. I usually only keep a vehicle for one or two years. The truck has 11k miles on it and has only been to the dealer once for a recall and transmission tune update. The number one reason as dumb as this sounds is I want it to fit in my garage. The tundras about three inches shorter which is what I need. Second I love the exterior of the trd pro. Third, army green and the new options of the 2020 have made the tundra have enough tech to make me want one. I am pretty upset that it won’t have bsm though.

Buy a Platinum and change the suspension. If you really want the TRD PRO suspension, buy it and slap it on.. You'll get a better interior too.. Other small features like shift knob/grill can all be had for cheap... Plus you can work a discount on the Platinum.. Win win.. You just lose the nice bed stamp.

Yeah the platinum is nice but it does nothing for me. I like the pro because it seems special and the resale is better. ( I only keep my vehicles for a year maybe two) I really want that army green color as well. If the raptor would have had it for 2020 I would have gone that route.

Makes sense.. It just further cements my annoyance with toyota.. Every single trim has something special or certain about it that others cant get.

The PRO should have all the best stuff.

I couldn’t agree with you more. The lack of features is upsetting. I know it’s an old platform but a lot of the additional options wouldn’t be to hard to implement. (Cooled seats, heated steering wheel, 360 cameras, sensors front and rear, more usbs, regular 120v outlet, etc.) especially when the options I listed are in other products Toyota sells.

If this is true and the new pros, will come with all these new upgrades than Im glad I picked a 2018 4x4 trd sport pkg. I had a feeling toyota was finally moving forward and bringing a new generation, therefore I decided to pick the 2018 estimating the new ones would be out by 2020-2021. My truck will be payoff next year I won’t have any issues jumping on a new Pro, but this time I will get the truck I wanted and fully upgraded.

Where do you guys work to be able to afford a $60,000 truck and are they hiring?! Hahaha. I'm waiting for the 2020 to come out so I can get an '18 or '19 I want without having to live in the thing!

If I had to do it again Id have gotten a Platinum and changed the suspension/wheels.. Its a joke that Toyota doesnt put blind spot, parking sensors, dual climate, etc.. on the pro. If they made a $5000 option that gave all the features of the Platinum on the Pro, they would sell twice as many Pros as they do now.

You can score a big discount on a Platinum, change the wheels and suspension and be cheaper than a Pro..
Whats even more annoying is if you buy a Canadian TRD PRO you get BSM, parking sensors and heated seats.

Toyota is a lot like Apple, they are always way behind in adding up to date features... and when they do add them people act like its the most amazing thing ever.

Check out the 2020 TRD Pro 4unner... Precollision, new stereo... BUT OLD ASS DIM HALOGEN headlights... so dumb.

Yeah but now you’re signing the modified vehicle paperwork releasing Toyota from any TSS issues when you do that. Toyota is really shooting them selves in the foot with some of the crap they do.

I bought one of the first Super White '19 Pros when they came out, and am strongly considering picking up a '20 just for the updated tech and that SWEET SWEET ARMY GREEN!! I realize that's not the smartest financial decision, but GD that green is going to be fantastic.

I also thought about buying a Platinum and upgrading it, but the resale value of the Pros is ridiculous...I suspect the 20's will be even stronger.

As soon as the first trucks hit the ground in TX, it's going to be hard to resist. And I alllllmost pulled the trigger on an 802 Raptor earlier this month, kind of glad I didn't.

I have an 18 raptor 802a. As far as trucks go I don’t think anything touches the raptor. Why do you want the tundra over the raptor?

You're correct in most respects. The Raptor is really REALLY good, and I love most things about it other than the price, and I have some reliability concerns with the 3.5 mill and the 10-speed. I've been driving Toyotas for a LONG time, and I love the resale, reliability and utility of the Tundra, minus the outdated tech and drive train.

It's gonna be a difficult choice.

Problem is. Toyota has no incentives on pros. But tons on everything else. The reason I went with a sport. Saved $3000. I’ll take that money and make it better then a pro

If you plan on keeping the truck for a long time it is worth it to do that. You will save a few thousand but if you sell it you won’t get your money back for the upgrades. A lot of guys say the same thing about the raptor but at the end of the day a lifted xlt with several off road upgrades will still never be a raptor. Just like a sport with never be a pro. Not dissing at all just giving a different perspective.

Yes please. Whoever has extra/inside info please share. Getting tired of contacting the sales guy at Toyota because he ends up latching to my pant leg.

There is a lot being left off these spec sheets so far. No mention of a sunroof yet the 2019's had them. I can't believe they are dragging their feet this long on final details and pricing. A LOT of info is going to be released in the next two weeks here. I have a spec sheet for one being built 8/21....but no pricing available or details on the parking sonar / blind spot / sunroof....hmmmm

It seems silly to me. They are treating it like it’s the new Supra and want to hide it’s features until the last minute. Come on Toyota your 13 year old truck with a couple new features should be out by now. Lol. I want my army green!!

I watched this video on cars.com and noticed the backup sensors. Hopefully this is good news.
