Looking to get a toolbox to put in the bed of my tundra. Anyone have any recommendations or brands to avoid?

There's a great thread on here about someone who bought a box from tractor supply and some metal L brackets from Home Depot and made it look real nice...

I got one of the narrow tool boxes for short bed trucks to keep some extra bed space. It’s perfect. Plenty big to keep your general tools and such you would need. But the “manly” men do like to talk shit about how it’s a baby tool box for fisher price tools and such. I’ve heard it all.

I’ve been moderately happy with my Tractor Supply box, it’s bent a little in the bed and the locks feel a bit cheap but overall no huge issues.

Cam-Locker is my go to. They can be had for pretty good prices on the used market. Better than anything you'll get out of a big box store.

Weather Guard 127-5-02. I have bed rails and found the supplied mounting hardware to be kind of meh, so I also bought these Tite Lok clamps to mount it. Threw away the chunks intended for the shell.

Decked is likely what I'm going with, but I have a list of them on my build thread. Link in sig below.

Thanks guys. I ended up getting a craftsman black low profile from lowes. Ended up getting for $70 off because someone had taken the movable tray from it and we couldn't find any extra.

I bought a toolbox from Lowes that was made by Daws. It's thhe second worst tool box I've owned. The worst was a used double lid that leaked like a sieve. The best I had was a Delta box that I bought from Tractor supply. The Lowes toolbox will unlock and open from either side, but won't latch completely unless you push down on both sides.

    Original thread here https://www.tundras.com/threads/my-new-kobalt-better-built-truck-box.6645/

I also have a set of these (used, but just barely) that I'll send to anyone that's willing to pay postage.

I bought these to use instead.
