I’m looking for a set of brackets to mount a 40”-42” LED light bar inside of my bumper above my license plate.

Rago is the only manufacturer that offers a 40-42” option

    Others offer a 25” option

Rago wants damn near $100 for their bracket and, although I agree it’s high quality, that a ridiculously high price for what they are. I can get this one for $25 and it looks very similar...

What do y’all think, is it the same bracket shape or close enough? Does somebody with welding experience see something dramatically different I can’t see?

(1 pic of Rago and 2 pics of DaSen)

If you're just looking for style, the cheap ones will be fine. If you will be off-roading it at night, and relying on the light bar for visibility, I would go with Rago. I hate it when lights shake and move on the trail at night.

I’ll make sure whichever one I purchase is locked down tight. More interested if they’re the same bracket shape (or close enough that I can drill out the cheap one to make work).

    I haven't tried either, so I can't comment.

I do like the slots on the Rago, vs the holes on the other one. That will make positioning your bar easier to make sure it isn't rubbing on the bumper or anything else. The fit will probably be fine either way.

I think the biggest thing you're paying for is the quality of the Rago. Rago uses stainless, while Da-Sen is using powder coated steel. Can't tell which is thicker; neither really says. Rago also offers a lifetime rust guarantee, so that's huge.

Living in Colorado, rust really isn’t an issue...

It looks like the rago is powder coated and the da-sen is painted, which determine the longevity of the bracket. Besides that and the hole for the light they do look similar. I would say go with the da-sen, but prepare to replace in a couple years with something else. We Tundra owners are always making mods, so you may get a better idea anyway.

Did you look to see what the customers that have rated the Da-sen so low said about why they did? Can you live with the issues they rated low?

Yup, they all had to drill out one of the holes...if that saves me $75, great...

I’ve used the DaSen brackets twice for 30”-32” light bars, they are Tacoma brackets. Takes some work to fit proper, and they are flimsy, light will jiggle from engine idling. Don’t think they will work for 40”-42” light bar, bolt pattern was wrong.
