    How does this compare to 12volt.solutions remote start? I think 12vsol is 100% plug and play for 18s,19s? This seems to be a better deal for sure.

    Sorry for my ignorance but what does this come with? The 2 way remotes cost extra and the app cost extra.

    Do we use our stock remote then?

    Edit. Ok I see now.

    "You just need to lock the doors 3 times from the factory remote and the vehicle will start. Then unlock your door with the remote. Get in the vehicle and put your key in the ignition and turn it to the run position"

    Both use the same Fortin module it looks like. This is way cheaper than the 12volt.solutions option, though the 12volt.solutions is fully plug and play with the T harness for the TPMS. Do the Tech12Volts and add the My Car option.

    Damn...I haven't even installed my coachbuilder items yet from the last group buy. I'm pretty sure I'm in on this one too....will place an order before the end of the week. It's too hot in Phoenix not to have a remote start. What's everyone's thoughts on the options? Are they worth it? Will I regret it later if I don't add them now?

    I did the equivalent with 12volt.solutions with the phone module and it's great. It's a must have for AZ summers... And spring, and fall, and winter...

    So the phone module is basically a two way + GPS tracking from what I can tell? Are you happy with the GPS? I've got some crappy GPS thing the dealer sold me on called Skylink and it's horrible. Doesn't track worth a crap. I'd rather not have another remote and don't really need long range signal, so I don't think I'll do that option, but am interested in the MyCar if it's worth it.

    Well that's a bummer. I bought mine 2 months ago.

    Eh, i guess I've got the extra 50 bucks use out of it already.

    It's super easy to install if you have basic tools and skills.

    Someone else (maybe @james@tech12volts) will need to comment on specifically how MyCar works, but yeah the one I have does 2-way remote start, lock/unlock, and GPS. You can use the factory fob to activate the remote start as well. The phone app also allows for aux items, but I haven't looked into that to see what that entails.

    One thing I will say to everyone buying one, I had trouble with the system at first. It was user error. James was awesome and replied to my PM within minutes and told me I needed to wait longer between the 3 presses. You have to do a 1 second count between presses, don't press 3 times fast. Works great.

    12volt solutions and I are very good friends. We use the same module. On 18 19 he has a harness for the tpms with mine you have to cut one wire . Other than that one wire its exactly the same . He made that harness for tpms in house and I could make one also but I will not as that would be very backhanded and money is not everything to me .

    It uses T-mobile. After James mentioned it's the same hardware as 12volt.solutions, I was able to go off info I had looked up from when I installed theirs.

    Maybe one day a true 'Plug &Play' remote start will be made available for 2nd Gen trucks that don't have the fabled G-Key!:notsure::fingerscrossed:
