Best Nurf Bars/Steps For The Money?

Wife is short, and although I’m 6’ I slide off my seat getting out. I can see my driver seat wearing early. I’m looking to put on a nice looking set of steps/nurf bars. Light weight and durable without costing a lot. Ideas please. Thanks.

Westin makes some pretty good Nerf bars..

 

Check out the Tyger steps.

 

I like the Tyger steps. These only work for DC, but they do bars that fit a CM, too.

 

For steps I really liked the OEM Toyota tube steps. They were easy to step on to and did not hang down too low. A lot of people take these off when upgrading to sliders so you may be able to pick up a like-new set for a good price.

Another option, if you take your truck off-road at all, is sliders. More $$ than steps but steps can get ripped from the truck on trails.

 

Depends on how your using your Tundra, if you you do lots of off roading, then rock sliders are your best bet, me, I'm happy with my nerf bars from nfab, it's your preference

 

If you do any cheap aftermarket steps in black, whether powder coated or painted, and you’ll be in Pa more than another couple winters, you might as well get them linexed before you even put them on.

My black Westin oval steps stood up well to Northeast Winters. My cheaper NFAbs that I replaced them with after an accident that have the steps for each door have to be touched up with rustoleum each Spring, which started at about the 3 or 4 year mark.

 

I went with n-fab bars and I'm pretty happy with them.

I’m not an off roader in the true sense of the word. I do have a ranch but aside from some mud in the wet seasons, there is no rock climbing and the like. My land is mostly flat with tall grass and some trees in the back acres.

I like the 4X4 because it does enable me to go places a 2WD cannot. My wife is a nurse who works nights, so the 4X4 is a must, in case of snow. We used to live in Delaware.

I’m in PA temporarily as I’ve sold my home and I’m waiting for my new house to be built in Texas. Worse case, I’ll be out of here before it snows. Where we are settling in Texas it does snow occasionally, but not in large accumulation and it melts fast.

My wife is the main concern. Her knees are shot with destroyed cartilage etc. from lifting patients. She can hardly bend and lift the one leg. So I really need either a step bar or a nurf that hangs down some.

I’ve looked at some nice stuff on some of the sites suggested, but they are a bit pricey. Being retired and on a fixed income, I need to be in the $300 to $350 range shipped at maximum. The ones I’ve seen that I liked are usually just over $400 or more. It’s frustrating, but I’m in no super hurry as I use my truck exclusively and only when taking wifey out for dinner or shopping does she ride in the truck.

I've had the Westin HDX black ones for about 8 months now and get compliments often

 

I just took mine off cause I like the look of no steps. I m in Chicago otherwise woulda sold u mine.

I think these are the only ones I'd replace my n-fab ones for. They are just so cool looking.

 

I really like my N-Fab sliders with removable steps. And installation was very easy.

I got some no name black tube steps off eBay for $140. No problems with them. I am going to line x them soon, but the powder coat on the isn’t terrible. I can’t share a link on mobile, but they definitely have them

Are those the same as the TSS tube steps. I have the TSS tube steps and they seem to hang down more than that picture. I also made the mistake of waxing them and they have turned whitish and I cannot get all the wax residue off, so I am thinking of replacing them.
