Have a 2005 Tundra DC Limited 4.7 that i’ve Owned since 2008. Threw this error code yesterday and is running super rough. Dropped it at the mechanic, think it’s going to be timing belt time. Anyone have experience with this “Cylinder 3 Misfire” error code? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Why do you think it has jumped timing??

    Could be something more simple.

Start with spark plug or coil.

If its a dead miss, yep, it probably is just the coil pack which failed. Easy to check though.

Likely a spark plug or coil pack as stated above.

I have fixed this exact issue myself on my tundra. Easy process to determine and I'd be happy to walk you through it should it come to that. Any competent mechanic however will easily diagnose this.

My only word of advice is to only use Denso coils if it is a failed coil. the off brands don't seem to have the same quality, reliability, and longevity.

1 denso coil is between $60-80 each on Amazon if I remember correctly.

It was the #3 coil pack. Thanks again to all for the replies!

I bet you're a happy camper. Glad it wasn't anything too bad. These trucks aren't exactly flashy but they are pretty dang reliable.
