TRD emblem instead of Limited and SR5 after you did alot of TRD pro upgrades

Discussion in '2.5 Gen Tundras (2014-2021)' started by Vitaliystundra, Jul 29, 2019.

TRD emblem on door pillers on limited, SR5 models tundras after doing TRD upgrades.

  1. After doing TRD upgrades, otherwise you'll look stupid driving your truck with all that chrome on

What are peoples opinions on putting TRD emblem where there was and removed
Limited or SR5 emblem on rear door pillers?
Keep in mind not TRD PRO emblem just TRD emblem
I did alot of TRD upgrades on my 2018 tundra limited.
Got rid of all the chrome garbage, color matched now, 2019 TRD pro grill, black emblems, trd front and rear sway bars, Trd skid plate, trd intake, trd dual exhaust with black trd tips.
Also thinking to remove the trd 4X4 bed stickers.

If you do this can you still clear 35's?

I say go for it! Looks a lot better than the SR5 or Limited badge. Curious on the $36 cost from Sparks - Is that for a set (2 badges) or each one? Don't forget to use the "Tundras.com" discount code with Sparks for 5% off.

How did you end up dealing with the chrome bumpers? Overlays or replacement. Where did you end up getting them from?

    Replacement from sparksparts.com
Overlays much easier to do but didn't want to risk wasting money and still be able to see chrome on sides or corners.

I did something similar. My truck is a 2wd sr5. I’m put a decal on the bed that says Trd off road. Actually thats downgrading my truck. I have 2.5 Icons front and rear with the Icon RXT leaf pack. I don’t care. What really makes a truck a trd?? Shocks and wheels basically. Same can go for a pro. What makes a pro a pro. Shocks and bed stamps? Adding a TRD pro emblem is to far imo though.
