Have the issues with rustproofing been resolved with 3rd Gen trucks?

I hope so. I try to coat my truck's undercarriage with Fluid Film every fall (still need to do it this year). It seems to protect the surface well. I found a few spots I missed the first year that had a small amount of rust. Once I get under this year I will have to see how it did last year.

Tacoma and Tundra frames were rusting out, specifically in areas in which the roads are treated with salt and other chemicals for inclement winter weather. So much that Toyota bought trucks back or replaced the frames.

Yep that's the issue and it is not apparent what they changed in the factory rustproofing scheme to fix this in our new(er) trucks. Wondering if the smart people here know more.
