Making some room for new wheels and tires. Serious pain in the dick. Would’ve been so much easier if fitment was a little better. Had to make a few alterations but made it work. But I think they turned out great. Still need to hammer in the pinch welds. And it’s probably going to be awhile before I paint them since I really don’t want to take it all apart again.

My current wheels and tires are toast. 3 wheels are bent or damaged and won’t even balance. 702’s! 17”... 0 offset.

What's average cost of getting those fenders painted, or are most of you painting them yourselves?

There’s some pretty huge variances out there. Depends on the quality of work, and in paint/bodywork you get what you pay for. I’ve seen quotes from $400-$2000

I paid 600. And that was them removing them and putting them back on after paint. I mounted them myself. And I think that helps alot with the price

Twinsies!!! Me and @Vizsla bought our fenders together awhile ago and happen to install them on the same day. Dave actually brought my fenders down to Anza from AZ and I wheeled with them in my truck for a few days. Thanks Dave.

Yeah, there would've been major damage without sliders on that last trip. :D I think our next trip to the desert will be around September when it cools off a little. I'm going to start planning a trip out to Johnson Valley. Probaby try to sneak in a trip to Big Bear with @BestGen between now and then though so get them sliders on.

Pinch welds hammered in. Ready for new wheels. Pretty sure I’m going to have to take some more off the cab mount but I think I’ll wait til the wheels are on. Just hoping I can make it home from the tire shop.

Stance with the 0 offset and 12.5” wide tires is much better with the fenders. I already have a CMC but it’s still rubbing like crazy. Going for an alignment soon before I start chopping some more.

What upper control arms are you running and I'm assuming your rubbing on the body mount?

Funny how two tundras could run the same setup and one rub and the other be ok

Alignment? +4 caster moved my front forward enough that mine don’t rub anymore (33” STT Pros on a 1st gen though).

It has everything to do with alignment. You need to run those LCAs all the way forward and do the alignment with the UCAs if you have heims. If you don't, you'll just have to do the best you can. LT has an advantage because the lower ball joint is already 1" forward over stock.

Yes it’s rubbing the cab mount. My biggest problem is the 0 offset and I’m only lifted 2.5”. I’ve got Camburg Kinetic Heims. I’ve already got the wheels moved as forward as they could with my current position of the heims. I did that on my last alignment. I might be able to move them just a little more but I have to make adjustments on the UCAs off the truck. They’re not adjustable on the truck. We’ll see tomorrow.
