Does this replace waxing the truck? Or do you still wax when using this stuff?

Yes, it replaces wax. Don’t put anything on top of it.

I did clay/megs 205/ megs ultimate wax a couple weeks ago, the truck sits a lot during the summer so today I wiped off the dust and did a liberal coating of bead maker and man I like it. 32 bucks for a gallon is a good value in my opinion.

Remember my Tundra is a 2011 former work truck ( 146k) that likely never saw a garage until I bought it last summer, cleaned up nice

Can you use the bread maker on a tonneau cover like the Bakflip?

20190725_173829.jpg Did mine yesterday. Its definitely a 3 rag process.
    1 to spread
2 to start drying. (This rag i would keep damp ish)
    3 to buff it out.

At first i was very skeptical and after taking a break and coming back i started noticing it gets glossier as it sits so i used the dry rag to polish a bit more, and if it was kinda hazy i would use the wet rag and fully chase it with the dry one for an even coat.

Very nice results i must say.:woot:

Does it replace wax?.....sort of. Both can be used as an LSP. Much like a traditional carnuba wax, it does not last long. I use it as a booster to existing protection (sealant), once every 3-4 weeks.

Exactly this. Due to it’s short longevity, I don’t recommend Beadmaker as a stand-alone protectant, unless you don’t mind re-applying once a month. I love Beadmaker for it's unique properties. It’s definitely better than wax imo, but it has the same durability. The company claims that it lasts months, but that just hasn’t been the case for me, or anyone else I know who has tried it.

As with anything, conditions make a lot of difference. On a garage kept vehicle that isn’t driven everyday? It probably lasts a lot longer. My truck stays outside, and is driven every day, so a month is generally as far as it goes. Luckily it’s relatively cheap and easy to use.

I just got it. I’m in the process of detailing my truck. I still need to glaze, apply sealant and then a wax (probably multiple coats of the last two). This will be the final step.

So I used bead maker this morning on my wife's camry(she borrowed the truck this morning after I got home from work) and let's get this out of the way, I'm a dumbass....i was tired and tried to do way too much of the car at one time, still looks good but I can see residue from where I didn't get it fully buffed off, I've tried going back and trying to buff it off, I even sprayed it with hose and re dried it thinking that would smooth it out, but no go. So what would be the best way to correct this? Rewash car? Re apply bead maker? Im at a loss, meguires quick detailed didn't help, tried it. 20190726_201158.jpg
Still looks good but I can see the issues, definitely beads up great and I need to finish windows(ran out of glass cleaner)

A lot of times you can just spray more of whatever product it is and buff again. So, try just hitting it again and see what happens. Pretty sure that’ll do it.

I used it on my truck and wife's car tonight, but it got dark so I'll have to wait til tomorrow to see it out in the sun to see how it really looks. In the garage under the lights, it looked good.

The best result is after curing for a day so tomorrow will be good! And rub the panels, will be slick as snot! Pardon my French...

I did have to go back and buff a couple spots on my wife's hood in the sunlight, but it did make it look good. She has a black car and it has never had a real good shine even after waxing it. It has swirl marks from the car wash and always had a slight haze to it. It looks better than it ever has. My truck has a nice shine too. My wife even made the comment that she liked how slippery her car felt now. I noticed it to when I went to close my door and my hand slipped right off of it.

Finally got a chance to use bead maker on my truck. 20190729_192144_HDR.jpg 20190729_192155_HDR.jpg 20190729_192208_HDR.jpg 20190729_192225.jpg
It was starting to get dark so I didn't get great pictures, and it's been raining today so I guess I get to see how it beads soon.

I tried it on my wife's vehicle - dark metallic blue range rover. Maybe I'm not doing it right but a lot of smears and streaks that I couldn't really buff out. I detail the vehicle (clay, polish, sealant, 2 coats of wax) then beadmaster. I'm going to let it be for a bit and then take a look it it.

Not sure I would use it over wax, that could be the issue. Or maybe you didn't use enough? Sometimes if it's hot out you have to apply quite a bit to a towel then spray the vehicle lightly, this helps a lot with the streaks

I agree with Pudge....not sure I'd use it over a freshly applied wax. I like Bead Maker...buy it by the gallon. After a while, you realize that it's best application is a booster for existing protection, but typically not right after that protection has been applied. My vehicles get a light coating of it once every three weeks, as that's the normal duration between washes - three cars, only one of me. Those same three vehicles get two legitimate details per year...once before entering winter and then once in the early spring time. Each detail ends with a top quality sealant, such as McKees HiDef, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant, or Jescar Powerlock.

THe last coat of wax went on Saturday, Beadmaker was Sunday. The wax was fully cured at that point.

FWIW, my wife actually noticed the steaks. She barely noticed the work from last weekend.

I've never really had an issue with it streaking. In areas where you see the streaks, a light re-application should take care of the problem. I always use a separate microfiber to wipe off...keeps me from having to constantly flip the one I use for application. I have heard of some issues with streaking when it's very humid.....what was your weather like when you applied it and were you in direct sunlight?
