Wanting the Black Rhino Roku in 17x9.5 with a +12 Offset. In bronze because that color looks sweet with white. Also just ordered the 6112/5160 @ 1.9" Setting. Everything I have read leads me to believe a 285/75r17 Nitto Ridge Grappler will look friggin sweet. Also consider a little smaller or maybe a 295/70. Just havent seen this wheel/tire combo much on here. Any help is much appreciated!

I have 18x9 MK6s with +12 offset. I'm running 295/70r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and have rubbing when reversing. I've removed both of the front wheel flaps. I just ordered the Coachbuliders bumper offset kit, so that should take care of the rubbing issue.

Awesome, do you have any lift? You talking about the from mud flaps? Or ones in front of the tire? Let me know if that solves the issue

    285/75r17 vs 295/70r17? That's a tough call.

I personally think the 295's look better but the 285's are slightly taller (more ground clearance), narrower (better gas economy and better for some conditions like snow) and typically less expensive (always a good thing).

The +12 offset is going to be the killer. Lots of guys here with the 285/75r17's on +25 wheels and a 2" lift with little or no issues. The 295's on a +25 wheel should be OK too (probably after removing the front aero flap and maybe moving the liner forward?) but on a +12 wheel, either size may be a problem but especially the 295's?

Based on that and the minor size advantages of the 285's, I think that would probably be your better (safer?) bet? PS... The +12 wheels will also help offset (looks wise) the fact that the 285's are narrower.

Did you have rubbing at both the front and rear of the wheel opening?

Yes, slightly on both ends, hence the flap removal... Sadly still rubbing on the front, so I ordered the bumper shims.

How much lift did the Icon Stage 5 give you up front?

Do you think you would have had as much rubbing if the wheels didn't stick out as far?

Any pics from the front or rear to show how far they stick out?

    Thanks

I got about 3 inches up front... I dont know about the offset issue. I personally dont think they stick out that far.

Yea i agree with all of that and actually leaning 18” and 285/70r18. Def don’t want to deal with a lot of rubbing etc. and def want to keep the front mid flaps.

Not an issue per say, just that the +12 offset wheel make the tires stick out about 1/2 more then with say a +25 offset wheel. Sometimes that's the difference that determines where and how much rubbing you get?

I don't either really. Having the tires stick out like that does look cool but the downside is, the more they stick out, the more they fling shit down the side of your truck.

BTW - Thanks for the pics
