I went into the dealership on Thursday to buy out my lease. I was 20k miles over my limit and had about 5k worth of parts I literally put on 2 months ago. It was an SR5 with Boss kit, bench seats, Nitto Terra grapplers, magnaflow dual exhaust, method mr306’s, and retrofitted LED headlights.

Well the payment to buy my truck was about 20$ less per month vs. jumping in a new limited with enough money on my trade to rebuild. It was tough to give up my first new truck, but it was a lease, and I prefer to keep leasing for tax reasons.

Looking forward to getting going on this truck ASAP!

First thing done was pulled my kenwood, proclip, and stubby antenna out of the old truck and threw it in the limited.

    144E9482-E3E9-4765-BAD9-128670D3099A.jpg

    Then I debadged.

    ON ORDER:

    - @Toytec Lifts Performance 3/1 with Aluma series 2.5 coilovers
(Most excited for this, as it is an upgrade from the last build, which had 5100s til a few months ago)

    - Nitto Terra Grappler G2 295/70-18 C Load

    - Method MR309 18x9 18 offset

    - Husky Front floor liners

    - Raptor Liner Spray Kit

    - Carven TR Muffler with Black ceramic tip

-Custom Bed Rack for hauling 2 dirtbikes with the tailgate up

    - Bullrings for bed rails

I’ve had a roll of Matte Gunmetal metallic vinyl to wrap my other truck since March and just haven’t had time to do it, so that will also be happening as soon as possible while the paint is still in new condition. All chrome will be wrapped as well.

Wrap will be a combination of matte gunmetal and gloss black.

    BB19BC09-DB21-47C6-B40C-26C86523C51C.jpg

Hoping to get going on everything later this week, but have a stacked list of wraps coming into the shop.

Thanks for all your support in getting this business off the ground. Unfortunately I can’t keep up with everyone’s demand for stickers, but I will always be here to talk truck shit.

    Here’s to a long few weeks! :bikewhoops::cheers:

I honestly don’t know how to negotiate, but she showed me her financing screen and gave me 2k more than they wanted to give for mine. She’s going to take care of a few things like alignments and small parts. I also have started to do a ton of work with them, so even if I paid 2000 more for the truck than I could have in Denver, I will most likely get more than 2000 worth of work over my lease period.

I think I’m going to make my wife do it. She was supposed to wrap her 4R but it was not an easy job.

Thanks Jim! Hand is good, I’m healing finally but still in a removable cast. Don’t tell the doctor I’ve been putting down some motos at the track . I think there are some thing in there that probably need surgery at some point.

I'm only working on fleet stuff. The tundra stuff is too time consuming and non profitable compared to everything else I do, and I don't have any free time from that.

A great site for leasing is

    www.leasehackr.com

Anyone leasing without negotiating is spending more than they need to.

Check out the forums on the site and search for Tundra. All kinds of great Tundra lease deals have been posted by forum participants....including me

Got some parts installed this weekend!

@Toytec Lifts Aluma 2.5 series kit
    MR306’s
    Nitto 295/70-18
Husky liners (way better than OEM)
And wrapped it up with some tint after my last photo. Love this truck more than the old one already.

Need to add Boss 4x4 bumper spacers to get rid of the rub.

Waiting on a Y pipe for the carven muffler.... didn’t think that one through.

I’m really likin the LED heads and fogs, I thought my retrofit was insane but these are damn near as bright.

    Looks great, got a question,

Did you use the stock UPC?
On the tire size any mods to the front wheel well?
    What position are the shackles?
    Hows the ride?

    Thanks for your time.

It’s more of a low mileage thing. I live above my shop as of December so I don’t drive too much anymore. My business is strictly image, so the option of having a new truck every 3 years as a tax write off is tough to not take.

    I used SPC UCA’s.
My last truck had the same setup and I cut the fender well where it mounted to the front bumper cap. This time I’m using bumper shims from boss 4x4 because I only need a half inch to easily clear.

Shackles are at 1.5 because I have 2 dirtbikes in the back about 50% of the time.

Ride is great. Loved the boss kit, but this setup feels super smooth. Looking forward to an alignment to put it to the test. Have to wait a week to get in for that.

Quicksand wasn't the color that I wanted and I already had a roll of vinyl to get my mgm wrapped. It's not that I WANT to wrap over it, but I own a wrap business and it's really important for me to wrap my vehicle to keep people looking. That being said tho, quicksand quickly grew on me, and we are switching the plan to a half wrap to keep factory paint.

ME too! I make a damn good popcorn if anyone wants to come watch my wife wrap the truck .
