I am running 285/70/18s and have 4:88s. Best mod yet, the truck doesn’t hunt gears on the highway anymore and feels like it’s always in the power band

What is your avg gas mpg with the 5.29? Not a concern but more of being curious.

Well at the moment I’m getting 11.8 mpg. Now I’ve only had the gears in since Friday. The trucks computer is still learning I’m sure. Also I’m breaking in the gears and have been going really slow but I’m surrounded by big hills to climb so my numbers will be lower automatically because of that. Before that I was getting like 10.7 or so. I’m loaded down though with all my gear and skid plates and full size spare. Also sitting on 35s until sometime this week.

It’s crazy, but mpg actually goes up with Steeper gears. Not down:)

Steeper gears meaning 4.88 with 33" and 5.29 gears with 35" gets better mpg
