Our use it once a week or so 1992 GMC Sonoma finally lost it. Lost 3rd and 4th gear in Madison WI construction traffic. Therefore, found the Tundra $4,500... Looking at replacing CV boot on drivers side and timing belt which was replaced around 100,000, drivers side ball joint just done. Anything else I should do ASAP. Frame looks good.
Will do a search on those topics. Thanks for the future help.

All new fluids. Multiple drain and fills on transmission, no flush. I can’t tell if it’s wise or not if I don’t know what it’s for. My answer is different depending on if you were looking for a Strong running beater to handle dirty jobs that won’t be depended on for the commute vs. a commute truck that has to get you to work and everywhere else you need to go for the next few years.

    Edit
Actually you said “use it once a week or so.” So I’d say good deal.

For right now the basics (apologies if I'm repeating what you already know and have done). Engine oil & filter change to set a known baseline (great time to replace the oil drain bolt with a Fumoto valve to make your future life SO SIMPLE). Spark plugs to again set a known baseline. Engine air filter to again set a known baseline. You should have serviceable zerk fittings on the drive line (or lineS if 4WD). Get the correct grease and get all those joints properly lubed to again set a known baseline.

Then I would break loose every single wheel lug (one at a time while on the ground will full weight on the wheels) and retorque them so you know what you have. If they were last put on by some stupid shop with a 747 airplane air gun they're torqued to 154 foot pounds and you'll NEVER get them off on the side of the road in an emergency. This is also a good time inventory your on-the-road wheel/tire changing tools and making sure you have what it will take. I myself keep a small bottle hydraulic jack in the back of the bed along with a stack of wood 2X6's to be 1000% sure I can get the truck off the ground if necessary.

I purchased my '07 when it had 270k... that was two years ago and the truck runs & drives great with 285k today.

I replaced all fluids & filters, and plugs. I also replaced the shocks and springs, they were original & toast @ 270k.

Welcome from UT! Looks like a good purchase for what you need and it will give you many years\miles of life with your basic TLC. My sister has a 2000 Sequoia, similar frame and drivetrain, that has 320000+ and still going strong.
