2019 Issue

Wanted to let you guys know I've had a issue with my tundra..
Earlier this week I was out running errands and went over some railroad tracks nothing to bad.. Drove to the Grocery store when I was in the parking lot I could hear a noise when going over like joints on the parking lot..took it to the Dealership today and the tried tightening something up and sprayed lubes on it still didn't fix it... so come to find out it's a bad body mount... I dont understand why a new vehicle going over a railroad track would make that happen.

 

What side of the truck did you hear it from?

 

if that's the case, railroad tracks didn't cause the problem! It got exposed by moving and going over the bumps ... It would have happened sooner or later.
Did they tell you how long does it take to fix it?

 

They ordered the part today and said it would be in Tuesday... I'm hoping a day but dont know they don't say... I let them know I'm leaving for Philadelphia on Friday and need the truck so we will see

No idea why it happened, but look on the bright side - they know what the problem is and how to fix it. Sounds like it's probably a freak thing. This can happen with any vehicle. No worries.

 

You can order a body mount? Isn’t that part of the frame? Curious... got pics?

 

the truck is new I'm not ordering anything... I dont know if it's a bushing or what it is... no pictures yet I may try and look tomorrow when its cooler out

2weeks ago tomorrow my truck went in for the driver side body mount was told it was ordered on Saturday called the fallowing Tuesday..
Its now been 2weeks no way it should take this long to get a bolt there missing I'm thinking about calling corporate and see if I can get any where that way

 

I wouldnt be without my truck for two weeks.

Make some calls.

Remind them that they have sales that are dropping and this is the reason and you would second guess on buying another one.

With my stereo they gave me $1000 towards replacing it.

I told the the sound was unacceptable and bitch for a couple weeks after I replaced it

 

I've had my truck we went on Vacation with it last week it drives fine just when you hit bumps it squeaks and makes a bumping noise...found out yesterday its supposedly coming in on Thursday...so we will see... I'm still thinking about calling someone anyway and tell them how dissatisfied I am with it

It happens when your going over speed bumps and parking lots anything uneven... they put lubes on it and said it was torqued to spec and couldn't get rid of it... bumping noise sounds like a bad shock really I thought at first that was the problem but they said it was the body mount

 

Just wondering if it was a shaft issue that i went through. Sorry buddy your going through this on a 19, Toyota will take care of it. Good luck Shane
