Vacuum up airbags with Daystar cradles

    Does anyone have personal experience with Firestone Airbags, Daystar cradles and sucking the bags up when not needed?

    I realize it is recommended to have a minimum 5 PSI in the bags but that seems only necessary if they are mounted on top and bottom. With Daystar cradles you should be able to vacuum up the bags so they are basically out of the system when not needed - like for daily driving.

    Anyone actually done it? Thoughts appreciated.

    I had the exact setup without any issues with ~5psi in the bags.

    Never heard of anyone doing it, the system may not be able to hold a vacuum depending on how it seals at all fittings. It may suck down but slowly it would inflate to a few pounds over 0. But thats just a guess. Try it and let us know if you have a vac pump. Good luck

    No. I would not collapse the bags like that. This can create wear spots/creases in the rubber. There’s a reason they recommend keeping 5 psi in the bags. ;)
