    reading about sway bar removal....

how many people have put their back on after removing it?

i have Bilstein 6112 on top setting and it's pretty poppy on bumps.

i got a suggestion to remove it.
wonder if it would help with that?

and how much you had to slow down on windy hiway driving?

I removed my front sway bar because after I had the Icon 3.0's installed in the front the sway bar links were rubbing the lower spring perch and I took it back to get it corrected. Apparently they could not figure out how to adjust the alignment to correct it and they just rotated the lower shock perches to put the vertical "slot" where it would rub to eliminate it. I HATE that!!! The freaking slot is in the front and now any and all debris that get near that go inside the perch. I just removed the sway bar after that and never looked back. The 3.0's are stiff so it is not that bad

Removed mine and haven’t missed them once. After about a year I tossed mine in the garbage!

depends on the situation. If you tow a lot, I would keep it.

I took mine off when I installed Radflo 2.5s. I hated that I couldn't stuff my tires like the cool kids do in their dramatic off camber pics :)

I have never regretted removing it. I notice some body roll on clover leafs and such, I haul from time to time and don't notice any adverse affects, but I don't tow much, so I can't comment on that. I love that my truck is always ready at a moment's notice, though, to ditch the pavement and get dirty.

6112s top setting here too. 5160s in the back plus an add a leaf. 35"s.

I've got both bars on. Front and rear. TRDs.

I off road a lot; I did so with a highly modified (swaybar free) Raptor, and other trucks before that. I've done so with the Tundra stock (TRD sport suspension, OEM front bar, no rear), and now with the suspension upgraded. Haven't towed yet with the Tundra.

For my money, in my experience, and for how I drive... sway bars are staying on. I like to drive to the trail (sometimes hours or even days away), drive over the trail, then drive home. I haven't felt any excessive "poppy"ness over bumps on or off road, and none of my passengers have commented beyond saying how comfortable the ride is. By my experience and best guess, I'm giving up about 1/2" of articulation both front and rear with the bars. That cost is FAR outweighed by the FAR better handling on road. In the Raptor, my passengers would/could get motion sick on the backroad twisties. I had to be careful sometimes around corners and bends, and knock the speed down so we could stay in our lane. Now we stick to the ground as if its on rails (in so much as a full sized pickup can make such a claim). Then off road, air down to 18psi or so... can't even tell they're on there. I don't rock crawl or cliff climb (and the Tundra can't hold a candle to the Raptor in terms of prerunner style desert bombing), but so far if the truck fits on the trail, its handled it with no issue whatsoever.

    FWIW.

I should add a few points. First I have OME 3.5” with the 613 springs so they are stiffer. I tow pretty often. I tow a tandem, two stall horse trailer with a tack room. I also tow an 18’ ultra light bumper pull holiday trailer (with an axle flip kit). Haven’t had any issues with sway towing up to this point with either.

I had squeaking in the front so i took off my sway bar today and the squeaking is gone. I also feel like the front suspension is way less jarring with it off. Wish i had done it long ago.
