I think the idea for a gray emblem sounds great. I think red could work too actually. I agree it looks much better without the V8 emblem. I was gonna respond earlier about taking the grill off and spraying. Thats what I did and it was so easy.

Well. My windows won’t work because the master switch is bad. Going to order a used one and should have working power windows

Well for all the people that care. 2005 reg cab v8s are prewired for alarms, locks and power windows. My windows work now, was a defective switch, tab was broke with the window going Up

you need the door lock computer and the Power relay + the door harnesses to get it all working. dash is wired though.

If previous owner were to meet your truck they wouldn't know it was the same truck. You really sink your teeth into a project.

Its what happens when you have too many vehicles and get bored easily! Lol, my tacoma is the big project, this tundra should be “done” before too long

Is this one going to be your daily driver? You only paid $500 for it so I wonder if you could sell it for a profit once done? You've put a ton of work into it though.

Going to use it for towing. My Avalon can’t do that or my corolla. The tacos at least a year away from being close to roadworthy. I’ll likely
Keep this truck for the foreseeable future

It’s too hard to come across a truck like this up here

That should help, thank you. Trying to figure out I’d mines got the holes. Might if they used the same back panel (which wouldn’t surprise me if they did)

Look what just showed up! This should make @FirstGenVol happy. :D

Gotta go pick up new turn signal lights and marker lights. I'll probably do that tonight and install tomorrow I hope. Things are busy with us trying to buy a house right now.

In the process of upgrading all of my halogen lights to LEDs -- already have HID headlights and fogs. What bulb goes here:
    IMG_2162.jpg
Also reverse LEDs and rear turn signal LEDs came today. Flasher relay and rest of the LEDs (except the above one that I don't know what it is) should be here by Friday:

Took the 8 East from the 15 to the 98, then went to Calexico. I've never taken this route but that 8 might be my new favorite road, so beautiful.

Then when I hit the 98 it was just this for an hour
