    Let's post up your trip summaries. I'm not sure this info is displayed on 2nd Gens that why I posted this on the 3rd gen section.
    Let's include some info like amount of gas in the tank, octane, cargo, towing, passengers and truck trim.
    Note: This is not a "who gets better mpg thread"

    I'll start.
    * Full tank on 87 octane.
    * Only I and my daughter.
    * No towing, empty bed.
    * CM 5.7L 4X4

    27 miles really isn't much of a trip. lol

    I drive 150 miles round trip to work each day. I don't have a snapshot but '16 Crewmax 4x4 stock 18's no passengers cruising 72-80 typically the Fuelly app says I've been averaging 15.4mpg over 4 fuel logs and 89 gallons including city driving.

    I’m not sure I buy it the readout. Although it’s possible it’s downhill the entire way or I found an excellent vehicle to draft off of.

    My abacus has me getting about 15mpg almost all the time at full up.

    Well the CPU is there for a reason. Accurate or not I think it's useful info.

    Agreed. And I’m sure the cpu is consistently inconsistent. Meaning...it’s always going to be off in the wrong direction.

    And I’ll go on record...I didn’t buy a Tundra for the fuel mileage. Just tracking mileage for an upcoming trip to plan for fuel stops while the kids sleep.

    I've noticed that info also includes the time the engine was running, regardless if the truck was moving or not.

    300 mile trip coming up, towing a jet ski with 10 gal of gas, truck full tank with 91 Octane, bed loaded with luggage and another 5 gal of gas. 3 adults and an infant. First long drive on my tundra. Oh, and with 100 deg temps with AC on. Only one restroom stop. Well see.

    19.6 is feasible in a 2wd going 65-68 probably.

    On my 4x4 I recently set my cruise at 72mph from Ocala, FL to Orlando, FL on I-75 and the Turn Pike. It's a 75 mile trip and I reset the computer as soon as I got on the highway. When I got to Orlando it read 18.0. If it was a 2wd it should be 19. So slow down a tad more and you could get that.

    As for the computer I don't know how useful it is as a tool as it varies on the accuracy.

    On two tanks I kept track of when I filled up recently which was reset at prior fill up - Computer 16.5 / Fuelly 16.1 Computer 15.8 / Fuelly 14.9

    Depending on the drive, I've had plenty of trips over 19 and even 20. And I'm talking substantial, fair comparison trips, not driving down a mountain. :)

    The computer readout on mine is surprisingly accurate. I hand calc every single time I fill up and put it in a spreadsheet, along with the computer estimate. I've had a couple Subarus that consistently overestimated the MPGs by 1.5-3 or more. My Tundra on the other hand, the computer calculated MPG number is always remarkably close to the hand calc number, and I have the data to show it.

    That 19 mpg is Impressive! Wish I could get anything close to that. Seems like the magic mph is 70 once I go over I avg 14 on my 2018 cm limited

    Here's most of the trips from my 2018 DB. What's listed is trip miles, computer-defined tank average MPG, hand calc MPG, and then the difference. Those differences are pretty small in my opinion. Like I said, my Subarus have never been that close.

    Second part of the drive.
    Uphill like there was no tomorrow, nothing impresibley steep.
    Ended with half tank of gas.
    Still towing, still cruised, still tow/haul.
    Overall impressed with the performance.
    This is the longest/farthest I've towed with the Tundra so far. Oh, and the AC was on 100% of the time during both parts of the trip.

    Does anyone know how to turn this feature off? I know I get shitty gas mileage and I hate getting reminded of it daily. I've grown accustomed to opening the door before I turn off the engine.
