NO LONGER HAVE A TUNDRA... Waiting
Hey guys, so this morning as I was starting to drive off to work my TPMS was set off and when I looked at the PSI it was showing 20 (rear passenger tire)! Last evening it was around 30, I was wondering why it was low..

So I pumped my tire back up and scanned my tire for puncture, sure enough there was a puncture.

From what I've researched, it may not be repairable it's about 1 1/4" from the outside?.. thoughts?

The tires have around 9,000 miles. Thanks.

Dealer will most likely not repair that due to being near side wall....but a smal shop might due to some times not giving a shit about your safety......lol.....not recommended better off purchasing a tire

Most stores here will patch as long as it's in the tread.

would plugging it yourself cause issue later down the road if you're hauling a heavy load in the bed or pulling a trailer?

The last time I had to repair a tire was like in the 90's and I did it on small vehicles.

    THanks

These are what I use. I've even got one in my trailer tire with zero problems. They are great.

If repairable cost is usually about 25 bucks at a tire discounters or similar. Usually will repair if in tread. Not sure how close. They'll pull tire off and patch from inside. Personally I'd feel better about that for 25 bucks if they'd do it. Sounds like others have good luck though diy

Looks like it is outside Discount's repair zone to me. I have plugged several trailer tires and never had a problem. I would not hesitate to plug a screw or nail hole.

yes the tire has to come of to do the plug/patch. you have to push it through from the inside of the tire.

Awesome. Discount tires fixed it! Looks like the plug type.

Fix was free and they rebuilt part of my tpms as well.

Awesome thanks Discount tires on 192nd in Vancouver.

I grew up on a dirt road, many nails in the tires. I used the rubber snakes for anything close to the tread. I have never had them fail. Probably used 25 of these patches.

We all have a spare anyway..

My coworker used these on his focus the other week after it got a nail right in the center of the tire.

Those were the stuff I used long ago too.

Still use these.. I have never had a problem patching holes with these pretty much anywhere on the tire.
