For the bulbs install: The first housing took about 15 minutes. Second one about 5 minutes.

The housing swaps should take about another hour. Aiming etc is pretty easy once someone here told me about the phillips screw driver adjustment on top. Prior, I was removing the side marker and using a box wrench on the backside of cam which took forever.

Your neighbors will be wondering what you are doing tonight. Look! Its that crazy guy messing with his headlamps!

My transmission has slipped twice in the last month when going from a stop into first. Might be no biggie but started thinking if it starts showing signs of going out it may be a good excuse to swap to 4WD. I figure parts would be ballpark 2k and free labor doing it myself.

    Hmm... :pccoffee:

Looks like we may have a big tropical storm this weekend. I need to do the rear diff breather mod. Can I get all the parts at the auto store?

The fitting that replaces your breather has a special thread type (British Something Thread). Maybe you can pop the cap off the breather and just reinstall the threaded portion. Everything else is Autozoned material.

Cool stuff. I suppose whenever my transmission blows, I’ll have it rebuilt with something like this. They can make our transmissions better than new with the parts available these days. My buddy just had his rebuilt on his vehicle and loves it.

This is the one I used. Bought some 3/8” gas line (5’) and ran it up to behind the gas filler door and zip tied it. Put a new OEM breather on the end.

I did! The garage is full of crap that needs to be cleared out for now but that should be in order by end of Summer.

Driver's side Lower Ball joint failed again (used a high quality replacement 1st time from Rock Auto.) I'm thinking the stress from it hitting the ground 2 times is gonna take a little more work. Planning on a kit from 1A auto. Planning to replace, both upper and lower ball joints, control arms, new bolts for the lbjs, and inner tie rods. I can't find any negative feedback for 1A auto. Unless anyone wants to talk me out of it. It's an 06 SR5, rwd, 144,000 miles. I'm doing the work myself.

Due to the nature of these ball joints I would highly suggest getting a oem lower ball joint. The upper your usually safe aftermarket.

Also you may need new lower control arm cam bolts.

As stated above, you need to go OEM on the ball joints. Buy once, cry once as they say.

Try cool springs Toyota for the lowest OEM prices. They offer a 20% forum discount on shipping.

Had the Pioneer 2550NEX installed along with Kicker KS 6.5” speakers in the front and rear. Big improvement over stock set-up and the back-up camera is a real nice feature. Helped bring the 2006 up to date from a technology perspective. BEEE97DB-AD1B-4C2B-999D-27BC254C6FB9.jpg

I’m still trying to figure out why power windows won’t work. All the wires are there but I have an open in the main power wire. Going to figure it out when I pull the dash hopefully this weekend

I noticed that as well. He's got some Bro Lean going. Is that what the cool kids call it? No offense to your Hellwig choice, but for increased payload and some actual lift I would go with an Add-A-Leaf option from Wheeler's or Icon.

    I'm likely going with
