What do you want to do in your ride?

I've read you can do up to 295 with no other add-ons or changes. Depending which 35's you go with, you'll prob need some help with spacers, remove front mud flaps, and do something with the front fender liner behind your fogs. I didn't have to do any cutting to get mine to work with no rub.

Truck is done! (Well minus the coachbuilder shackles and BMC), but I might just do that myself.

Going to try and pick it up tonight. Can’t wait to hear the roar with these headers and TRD Replacement system!

A mechanic that I’ve used for a few years. He works full time at a local garage, then does work like this on the side.

He didn’t feel comfortable doing the BMC, so I’m going to have to figure that out. He was going to do the shackles, but I was already pushing budget. So I figured I could save a few bucks and change them out myself. I put my Toytec ones on...

But he did headers, mid pipes, exhaust, tail pipes, UCA’s, and shims on the front struts. I think that’s all.

I wanted to use him, but there was so much that needed to be done, I couldn’t bring the truck up there and drop it off that long.

I’m sure I’ll need some assistance with BMC though, so I feel like next meet could be an opportunity to get that done. @Hattori?

If you take to @Hattori and let DJ there at the shop do the BMC you won’t be disappointed. He did my first...and second...and third BMC, and it was great every time. Hopefully I’m done making changes to suspensions and tires and he won’t have to do anymore

Great info, thank you. I might go ahead and throw these 20x10’s on to give him an idea of how much needs trimmed.

Yezzzzir! I’ll try and see if I can make it happen.

JBA UCA’s, Toytec eibach 3/1.5 Kit (which I think I’m stilling waiting another 4 weeks or so for springs that will actually give me 3” of lift)... I added 1/2” shim to passenger side as well as 1” shim to driver side... and ended up doing coachbuilder shackles on the rear to take that lift up to 1.75”.

    I’m on 20x10 -18 fuel assaults with 35x12.50 cooper st maxx’s

Damn man how do you have any turning radius without a bmc??? A 10 inch wide wheel with a -18 offset with less than 4 inches of lift?? That's impressive.

Let me take a step back... I’m currently on 20x9 +20 wheels without a BMC. New wheels will be here Friday. I just know the BMC will need to be done.

And I put the shims on to raise the driver side 1” and passenger 1/2” to hopefully be more like 3 and 1/2” of lift... I’m not sure if I’ll have problems with the wheels yet.

The wheels might have to wait to go on until I get new Eibach springs. The Eibach kit only gave 2” of lift, not the advertised 3”. So, until I get new springs, the wheels might not even fit.

Nothing crazy. I’m just having fun trying to get a nice looking truck that is capable to do most things, but doesn’t need to do anything huge. Haven’t had a truck since 2003 and am realizing how much I missed having one. This is my first ever Toyota vehicle. Planning to keep it a while until they iron out the redesign down the road. May be driving a Toyota for the years to come.

So what’s the reason why your shims are different on each side? Can’t be for driver weight, or is it? Do these damn things sit cock eyed and I been missing it!?

Yup, an extra 1/2” on the driver side to level it out. Since I was a cheap ass and didn’t do adjustable shocks.

Well you will be fine with any size then. You don’t “need” any size for your usage. I think @00Tyler10 hit Iron Gap on his 20s and I can’t remember his tire size think 285 or 295 and he went slow with great spotting and did fine.

Fair warning tho...Buyers regret is a bitch! Not that anyone on here has had any from their truck mods ahem. And not me. Def not me. Look at different pics of w&t setups and go with what you like the best.

I spoke to Dave from Coachbuilders when I bought my shackles. He shared this info, which is pulled from his website

** Up To 2 Shims Can Be Used Per Side for 1.00” of lift, Bump stop extension kit is recommended.

** Tip: The Tundra Usually sits .50" lower in the front driver side corner, By using (2) shims on the driver side and (1) on the passenger side you're able to level the truck out left to right correcting the uneven stance.

Yours doesn't because it's stock. They have separate spring rates from driver to passenger stock to account for added weight of 38 gallon fuel tank and batt on same side of truck. Aftermarket does not. However I refuse to shim and I've had ZERO people comment on the Tundra lean.

Ah makes more sense now, and why David didn't mention it to me when we talked about my kit. I've only seen one of yalls trucks with a slight lean but otherwise never noticed. I'll keep an eye on the next meet up.
and you SLAYED IT like the glorious MF you are! I think I came out with more rash than you did, and even then, it wasn't that much. I'm done with Iron Gap until the new wheels and tires go on. :middlefinger:

Let's start figuring out this next run. We are a month behind !@# @lunchbox where will YOU wheel. I'm down for whatevs. Except IG.
