Other forum members already did the rough estimate on the cost of fuel for you. Given that number, you would also want to look at what the monthly payment and APR are on the Telluride. After that, see how many months it will take you in Tundra gas payments to equate to not having a payment or APR loan on the new vehicle.
Additionally, the depreciation of the KIA will be much higher than your Tundra even with fewer miles on it.

I own two Tundra trucks, one for work and one for everything else. And I loath commuter cars... these days I actually avoid driving cars all together. If fuel cost gets out of hand where I live, I will cut back on something else but I won't buy an econo-box.

I daily drive my tundra, 25 miles 5 days a week. Other car is a Subaru Ascent.

Keep killing that debt! No car or high interest debt here, only the house. Greatest feeling ever.

Drive the truck, I have a allergy to having two things that serve the same purpose.

Cars are a liability, don’t have more than you need.

My Tundra is my DD too, I drive a minimum of 80 miles a day, 5 days a week. And seems to have become the weekend family transporter too. I had a commuter car but man, just did not feel safe in that car! I'm not perfect but seems like too many shit drivers around me. o_O:(:annoyed:

Its my DD 40miles a day for 5 days most of it on highway. Coming from small fiat, i feel so much safer on highway between 18 wheelers. I love it except gas money but no regret.

That's why I bought it. Only have a 36 mile round trip to work. Been thinking of getting something cheap and used for daily but it looks like I might be moving into a Work at Home situation after this year's review.

Wife drives it daily. Miles per day can vary but we're an ez 10 minutes to the NEAREST grocery store. Forget the trips that take an hour or more which could happen this afternoon.... who knows:burnrubber:

My Tundra is an almost daily driver. I use it to and from work, roughly 20 - 24 miles round trip. On non-work days, we use The Woman's Corolla S for booting around town. We also take the car on road trips where we don't need the cargo space.

I'd love to drive it every single day for everything but I just can't justify paying the extra fuel. I took her car to the gun range last Thursday. 150miles round trip. Cost me about $12 in fuel. Tundra would have been double that, easily. I used the money I saved for an extra box of 9mm...because I suck at pistol shooting. LOL

I daily drive my 2019 Tundra about 20 miles each way, 4 days a week. I don’t care about the fuel economy so makes it an easy choice. LOVE MY TUNDRA. Daily drove my 2013 Tundra also. Tundras are the only vehicles I’ve ever owned that I feel completely safe and comfortable in. DD it.

I DD mine. I dont like driving cars for the most part. I dont mind the fuel costs....my commute is low miles.

I will echo what others have said about debt. It sucks. Being debt free is really nice.

I need to slow down... I have almost 30,000 on my 2018 after one year of ownership. All highway, so I am not too worried about wear and tear, but still, that's a lot of miles in one year. And, it is not even my daily driver.

This. You should be able to figure out the actual money savings either way. Balance that with what you'll enjoy driving more, and you'll have your answer.

I don't mind debt. Obviously, high interest credit card debt is bad. But if the interest is low enough, the money is so cheap to borrow, why not? Having said that, my only debt is mortgage debt, and I have no plans to pay that off early at the super low rates.

I DD my tundra 5.9 miles to work, 5-6 nights a week. I dont mind the fuel cost too much because I love the truck. It's actually a little cheaper than my lifted fj was to drive.

Daily driver here. 34 miles a day. In traffic, that's 2.25~2.5 hours a day normally, and it gets worse if someone has an accident or breaks down on the freeway. The miles don't bother me, but the constant idling and inching up and constant braking that eats the truck, does bother me. Still, I got 17 years out of the last Tundra as a daily driver and it was still going strong when I sold it. I don't want to whip the dead horse of insurance $$ vs gas savings and the value of not piling miles on the truck, we all know how that works. I had thought to keep the old Tundra (slightly better gas mileage, paid for well over a decade ago, reliable) but then why was I buying a new one? And why was I paying to insure both when I can only drive one at a time? So I reluctantly sold the old Tundra. Truck is a truck, not a museum piece. I bought it to use it, so use it I will.

My 2019 shares daily driver duty with my 2014 Rav4.

Commute is 90 miles a day. Truck goes 1-2 days a week. Rav4 goes 3-4 days a week.
Rav gets 28+ mpg. Truck is still new, but I am up over 18.

I hate debt as well, I'd sell the Camry, put on Michelin tires (comfort) and DD the tundra. Drove for months 50 miles a day, the only thing I'd change is having road tires vs ATs earlier.

The Telluride is a sweet ride, I'm sure you'll sleep better with $$ put into it from the Camry.

The safety aspect and joy are worth paying the extra $25 to $40 monthly by DD'ing the Tundra vs the Camry's insurance payment.

I can’t remember if you purchased the truck new, but let’s just say you did.

On your average over the past 3.5 years you have driven 20500 miles per year. Now add another 11500 to that for the daily commute. So let’s say 32000 miles per year.

-6.5 oil changes per year. 357.00 per year average.

-Set of tires every 1.5 years. 600.00 per year in tire cost. (900 tire cost. Not sure what the 33’s cost on your truck)

-Gas will be your biggest expense. I looked and the average for the lowest octane (at your elevation, 87 is probably the lowest) and the average is 2.65 per gallon.
6057.00 is your cost of you have an annual average of 14mpg.

I didn’t even calculate transmission or differential services.

    7014.00 per year to operate.

In 5 years, 160K miles will be added to your truck instead of 102000 miles with the car.

With the car that you already own:

    1088.00 fuel costs per year.
    93.00 per year tire cost
87.5 per year in oil changes.

    1265.50

    Now let’s figure this out.

Oil changes drop for the Tundra to 4 per year. 220.00

    Fuel 3880.00

    Tires 300.00 per year.

    4400.00

So you have a 2614.00 difference in just DD the car vs the truck. Keep the car.

I didn’t even factor in a ten year average on a truck purchase vs not having to.

Only thing I’m struggling with is I have been using the Camry for commuting the last two years and I am only putting about 12000 miles a year on the car.
