Very common with the Icon tubular arms. Talk to Icon, I bet they're gonna tell you to cut .25" off your inner tie rods. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I measured the Icon's against MCM and found the Icon's were 3/8" too short, they're just wrong, sorry.

Good info, thanks Warren. Curious how you measured, from where to where? I'd like to measure mine also

I simply stood them up with the 2 bushings on a table so that I could measure with a hook rule from the table to the center of the uniball/delta joint. Hope that makes sense.
It would be really interesting to have a UCA from each of the major manufacturers. Having run Camburg, MCM, Icon that the geometry varies immensely.

It definitely makes sense, thanks man. Some true, real world data on each UCA would be very helpful. All the UCA companies basically claim the same thing, just different verbiage, which is clearly not the case

It's interesting to look at "top down" photos of the UCAs. Comparing the angle of the back of the arm in relation to the bushing, you'll see Camburg is slightly angled back. MCM is almost straight. Others actually have a bend toward the front. This gives you a general idea of which will yield the most caster.

Enamel is a harder paint than the bed-liner stuff. It's what they use for railings and high traffic areas. You could do the bed-liner over the enamel though.

This one was ALOT bigger! Longer too! Sloshing water out of the pool! First it was listed as 7.1, then downgraded to 6.9, now re upgraded to 7.1 by USGS.
