Well, I returned and found nothing but snarky fanboy comments. Took me a bit because I was putting my truck back together. Some people called me stupid by suggesting I would trade it in, some assumed I wanted a Ford, Chevy, or dodge, even a piece of shit Nissan, I don’t. It was a rant and I was pissed. My Indian motorcycle is about like a Tundra. A rock solid beast of a power train surrounded by thrown together plastic shit. It is what it is.
My shits back together and I’m finished modding for a good while. It’s hot outside.

What are you going to do when you have to take your shit back apart? You have used hot glue so your shit will not come back apart easily. I would never glue my shit together with hot glue.

I agree the Tundra is most reliable across the board. It's part of why I own one, other reason being they look the best modded out. However the Ram has a quality engine in the Hemi and an excellent transmission (ZF). They may have technology issues and they too still have plenty of interior plastic but they are a pretty solid truck to go to from Tundra and not a piece of crap anymore in my opinion but opinion is nothing more than my perspective. Soooo to each their own I guess?

What currently produced truck would you buy that isn't full of plastic? I'm just kind of confused by your post...

So, you were basically hacking up a couple of mods, breaking shit in the process and then fire off a rant because of your own ineptitude?

I get being frustrated but really.

The quality of a Tundra is very good. My 2010 has 187k and is rattle free and mostly like new. The stereo in most modern cars stink and I have upgraded my stereo in every car I have had going back to my 1972 BMW 2002.

Hope you find a vehicle that meets your standards OP.

I had an all metal truck. 1969 Ford F150.

Go old if you want metal. Plastic has been integral in vehicles for decades.

Not quite. I am a realist. If the dealership screwed something up, they should own it. But to think that you're going to find the elusive car or truck that doesn't have plastic, well... did Bakelite exist when the Model T came out? Yes, 1907 so yep. Don't know if it was used in the Model T, but there might be some there. Every modern mainline consumer vehicle has copious amounts for a variety of reasons, from cost savings to production timelines, weight savings for MPG goals and I am sure many more reasons. As for overall reliability, stroll on over to the F or D brand forums scattered around the Internet, compare the complaints here to there before wading in it. I know, I wanted the F brand till I started reading. Then I didn't. This is my third Toyota truck, and other than from an accident, I have yet to need a tow or any roadside assistance in 25 years. Look for people boasting that in those other forums. A lot of good folk would be happy to get a deal on a Tundra that someone else took the depreciation hit on (as small as it is for Toyota), so get it up for sale, make someone happy, and make yourself happy with something else hopefully.

I thought I gave a solid comment. Get rid of the plastic shit, put on metal shit. Upgrade the stereo and you'll have all you requested.

Saying you'll get rid of a truck because the stereo sucks is like saying "I'm gonna sell my truck because it has Bridgestones and I want BFG". Drop a few hundred into the stereo, or drop a few grand in, make it what you want.

Well, if you were tasked with using the word ineptitude in a sentence today, glad I could help. If not, screw you. Evidently you have not taken a bumper off an 18. I was actually replacing a bumper end cap that was scratched. Before you feel the need to insult me any more on the scratch, I’ll explain. I had gone through a drive thru and turned off the parking sensors (this happened last year) the night my father died, I could sleep and went out for a drive. His house has all these really low brick planters and backing out of his driveway, I scraped one. I don’t hack shit up, so I bought an end cap and had it painted. I had replaced the first ones to get rid of chrome, so I knew I had to take the bumper off and had not found the time until today. I guess all this plastic shit doesn’t like being taken apart twice. I didn’t hack anything and I know exactly
