My first 4x4. Purchased new - 1988

Toyota SR5 X-tra Cab. I got compliments on this one at least once a week.

 

1996 4Runner, bought used.

 

My 1986 K10 bought it 26 years ago and still have it.

Those old trucks I like!

 

Love the old square bodies. My dad has a 1980 k-10 he bought in 81 and we still have.
It doesn’t look quite this sharp anymore as it’s been sitting and this picture is probably about 10-12 years old, but hoping to get it fixed back up.

I loved cruising in it! Even more fun when I had this to tow and use....

The Beavcoon 2011 tundra

 

that looks like an '84 4x4 toyota, with the legendary Bomb-proof 22R. I had a Blue SR5, (top of the line in those days) with "revolutionary" self locking hubs. I don't know if I have a picture.... Gotta climb into the attic.

Toyota SR5 with a 22RE engine.... No self locking hubs.... Had to get out and do it myself

 

1st 2008 Ram 1500 4.7L V8 4x2 First and last 2wd truck.
2nd 2011 2500 Hemi 4x4 I leased in the fall of 2010
3rd 2012 Ram 1500 Big Horn Hemi 4x4 My favorite of the 3 Rams I have had purchased new
4th My current Rig the 2018 Toyota Tundra 5.7L 4x4 So far the best truck I have towed with yet bar none in its respected class

My first vehicle was an 89 Silverado my grandpa gave me in 1993 with less than 100k on the odometer. Had to replace the transmission at 220k, and motor at 235k. I drove it until 2003, and sold it with 240k on it.
I actually just heard from the guy I sold it to a few weeks ago that it’s still running. He sold it to someone else who is still driving it.
I’d really love to get it back if I had a place to put it and restore it. It wasn’t fancy, but it meant a lot to me. First, because it was my grandpa’s, who I miss very much. He’s the only one who ever looked out for me growing up.
It’s what my wife and I drove away from the church in on our wedding day (25 years ago in 3 weeks!). Drove it on our honeymoon to Florida, and everywhere else we went for the first many years of our marriage. I also brought my first child home from the hospital in it. Just a lot of special memories in that truck.

Various other suv's and my first (and only other) pick up was an Isuzu Pup (no pictures of the actual truck and mine was not this nice). Thing was a manual and had bucket seats and we used to ride 4 in the front:
