Has anyone ever bought something from the RealTruck.com website? I purchased a Tonneau cover (I know, I know...should've went to the actual manufacturer of the product) from them and I'm beginning to regret this purchase. I purchased the cover on 6/16 and hadn't heard anything from them for almost two weeks. I decided to reach out late last week and spoke with a representative that told me they would look into my order. Never heard back so I called again yesterday and was assured they would check with the warehouse on my order. Well, its been over 24 hours and still haven't heard back from them. I know nothing about this company but i can tell you right now, I will not be ordering anything from them again. Little to no communication....:mad:

One of my coworkers uses them for almost everything and has nothing but good to say about them.

Try asking for a manager next time you call.

I've used them a few times with no issue. Sounds to me that they sold you something they didn't have in their warehouse stock. I'd void the transaction and go somewhere else.

I've had good service with the items I've bought from them.

I'm guessing the only reason you haven't canceled the order already is because they've already charged your card. It's cs for a vendor to do that. The best vendors will charge your card when they ship your goods. They didn't have it in stock, and now they're trying to stall you until their supplier gets his act together.

No problem...call your card service center and file a dispute. Reason: Non-delivery within reasonable time. Disputed charge claims from card companies tick vendors off big time...just desserts.

I don't work there, but chances are they operate like how my company does. They drop ship the tonneau from the manufacturer, which means they're reliant upon the warehouse to provide accurate inventory and lead times. 99% of the time it's good, but every now and again it's not.

You're definitely in a bind with their CS dropping the ball, that's no fun at all. As already mentioned maybe ask for a manager next time to get moving in the right direction.

Their hands are most likely somewhat tied because the don't physically hold the product and they're working with the manufacturer to ship in a timely manor. I know at my work we can put you on hold, call the warehouse right then and there to figure out what the hold up is. I'm not sure why that hasn't happened for you.

Best of luck getting this sorted out!

    Thank you :fistbump:

    Seriously thinking about doing this....thanks.

    Thought about doing this too...

Awesome. Will do. I thought someone on here worked there but I couldn’t remember and I couldn’t find it going back through all the threads. Nice to meet you. I will be in touch...

Learned along time ago that it’s a crap shoot when ordering from company’s on the internet. Like the OP, not getting the info that helps you in anyway. Like it was already mentioned they are at someone else’s mercy and they don’t have the nuts to be straight up with you and you still haven’t received something that you have paid for.
On top of all that unless you take extra precautions you are floating your personal info to a place you have zero knowledge of. I got screwed out of $1200 once and had to fight the card company to get it back.
I cured all that crap by getting a Pay Pal account, you use that for all your transactions and they pay said companies and your info doesn’t leave the Pay Pal site. Another thing Pay Paldoes or doesn’t do is pay money unit the merchandise is shipped. Best way that I have found to protect yourself. I know it doesn’t help at this point but something to think about in the future.

One thing to keep in mind, some of these products are not "off the shelf" items, and will have to be built on demand. I agree, that is not the greatest customer service, but this is 4th of July week, people will be out on vacation or feeling the pressure from losing a day of work. I bought some seat covers that took over a month to arrive... A MONTH for seat covers, and I did not get any word from them in the interim. Some items are like that. A site like RealTruck will surely come through, they have a big name to maintain.
