    https://www.tfltruck.com/2019/07/june-2019-sales-full-size-trucks/

Automakers are reporting their sales figures for June 2019, and it looks like Ram has a reason to celebrate. While the brand has been in a solid third place against its Ford and GMrivals, the balance is starting to shift. Ram sold 68,098 trucks in June alone, which is a massive 56 percent improvement over June 2018. Overall, Ram trucks are up 28 percent from this point last year.

The Toyota Tundra‘s sales dropped slightly in June 2019, selling 9,878 trucks. That represents a 0.8 percent fall from June 2018, when Toyota moved 9,955 Tundras. For the whole year, the Tundra is down 2.3 percent.

That is not too bad, but the picture is not as rosy for Nissan. Only 2,665 Titans found new owners last month, a whopping 35.3 percent drop from June 2018. For the year, Nissan Titan sales are down 22.6 percent.

The Nissan titan is ugly as shit! 10 years from now everyone will be trying to pick up an old tundra because it will still be running with few trips to the dealership.

A coworker just bought a new RAM and I have to say, it looks awesome, and it sounds like he got a great deal. If I leased I would consider it as long as I could get out before the warranty expired.

I don't lease though. Toyota for me.

Almost every dealer around here has 18k right off the top of any Ram, you will never see any Toyota discounts like that, the Rams are nice looking now, but I have a 2003 Ram that I use for hunting, there is no dash left and the bed is full of rust. Every time someone talks about buying a new dodge I point at my truck... hard to believe a manufacturer put something out like that truck...

I considered a RAM as well, great looking trucks, but skeptical of the durability especially after end of warranty period. Tundra may not have the look of the RAM but I know it will be durable and reliable way past after the warranty expires. Buddy of mine bought a 2019 RAM and already been back to the dealer twice, less than 2000 miles.

I’m not surprised. After all, all the pickup truck models have been completely redesigned, with the exception of the Tundra. Toyota desperately needs to completely redesign the Tundra. In my opinion, Toyota has become complacent with their pickup trucks. Either they have decided that they cannot compete in that segment, or they have placed emphasis on their other vehicles.

Either way, it’s a shame because they make the very best pickup trucks in the market. It would not take a whole lot to completely upgrade and update the Tundra. All that they would need to do is redesign the exterior and then add all the stuff that are in their other top selling models to the Tundra. That would include taking the luxurious features of the Lexus vehicles and other Toyotas. In addition, add better mileage and power. That would significantly improved the vehicle’s competitiveness.

No matter how poorly the Tundra sales are, I’m still loyal to the brand and will always buy the Tundra instead of the Ram, Chevy, F150, and Nissan.

FCA is offering 25% off Rams and most dealers are adding another 15 to 29% off. Good price but still a Dodge

Ya, but its a Ram. You don't want to be a guy in Nevada with a Ram. GM or Toyota. They look cool, and have 20k off MSRP, but there's a reason why.

My wife’s co-workers husband got a brand new Ram a week before I picked up my 2010 Tundra w/ 75k about a year ago. She didn’t understand why we were paying so much for my tundra compared to a new ram. I asked about said ram last weekend and it’s been returned to the dealership after first gear took a shit and the tranny needed replaced. He’s in a used Chevy now...

Toyota doesn’t fleet vehicles tho like the others that’s why you see bigger numbers with ford and gm etc.

From what I have read, Toyota doesn't just jump on the "new design/trendy/different engineering" stuff for a reason.
Toyota does years of research on what will hold up and it will be engineered correctly before changes are made.
Simply put, Toyota will not just spit out junk.
Thank you Toyota for making my truck (and others) the best money can buy and....and....and give me a great resell value.

I saw a couple fairly new used Titan XD's for sale and was stunned how low they were going for compared to what the news ones one the lot were going for. The 2014 Tundra I looked at wasn't much lower than a 2016 XD

I'm not gonna lie, that new Power Wagon is pretty nice. We just bought a horse ranch, so I'll be towing some heavy shit.

I really want a diesel, and if the Power Wagon had one, it would be a done deal.

I will be honest, I’ve had Dodge’s for neigh on 20years. I looked long and hard at a new Dodge. My Dodge before last ran for 435,000 miles till it quit. The last one went 180,000 before it spun a bearing on the crank. I have diesel wit300,000 on it and I can’t see me replacing it anytime soon.

I picked the Tundra for it’s reliability reputation. I do a 1000miles a week and it has to stand up to that. All of my clients who have Tundras have a gen 1 they bought new and use now as a farm truck. The kids drive the gen 2 and Dad has the gen 3. So let’s hope the hype is real. I could have saved a lot of money buying a Dodge

2665 trucks?? That has to be a typo. There’s no way. I see Titans all the time in Houston.

Not a typo. Titans are overpriced and fugly. They sit for months on the lots here in Denver and each dealer only has a few to sell.

I am actually surprised Ram outsold Chevy when I used to follow these Chevy was always number 2. Not surprised with the Titan sales I never see one like I do other Tundras, Rams, Fords and GMs.

That is because the big 3 inflate their MSRPs so much so they can make the GP think they are getting a great deal. When I bought my Tundra I got prices on similar Silverados and even with 20-25% off they were still more than I paid for the Tundra.
