Here's a few clips that I recorded. I have ARH headers and cats with custom catback in 3" tubing, X-pipe and dual 5" Magnaflows. It's rowdy and I do have some drone with my setup. I can deal with it, though.

So I must have missed those. But if I read those correctly, installing ARH on stock truck, no tune, is good for about 40hp and 60tq

    Is that correct?

JBA claims 50hp and 90tq for 1/3 the price haha I really like the quality of those ARH, but I'm having a hard time justifying the crazy expense...

I want to say it was PGM. My brother handled that so I am waiting for him to respond. I can check the receipt when i get home.

Decent performance gains especially when the truck is tuned, but the total expense is crazy. Maybe an ARH group buy would lower the cost by 1/3 ??

If the cost was significantly less, I would consider them. I don't mind paying for quality, but I have my limits

Keep in mind that with JBA you'll still have the added cost of midpipes. If you're not fabricating them yourself with your OEM cats, there's another expense that puts JBA closer to a grand + possible time without your truck.

True, but I face added work/expense because ARH doesn't make mid-pipes for my Tundra model either.

Did confirm with my brother in law that it is PGM, although he thought it was called ABC recyclers when he went there. I can check the receipt when i get home

ARH should be releasing the midpipe for the 07-09 models soon. I have it on mine

This is really odd that they would not do this. They have the fixture to make it now. Did they give any reasoning why they wont make the 07-09 moving forward? They are essentially either forcing people to buy a full exhaust system or just buy nothing at all if that is the strategy.

No reason given... when ARH publishes a new part number for the 07-09 kit it will be all good, but they have not done that yet.

I just checked the ARH web page, and they have added a (2007-2009 TRD) option. Can we assume this has the shorter drivers side mid-pipe they made for swank501??

I would assume so yes. Not really sure why TRD is included since the connections are the same as the OEM. But that is what i had installed at the time, so maybe that is why it was included. I would caution that mine is RCSB, so not sure if it would be exactly the same as a Double Cab or Crewmax.

I have called, emailed & messaged ... no definitive answer yet, but the new option on their web site looks promising for those of us with '07 to '09 RCSB.

Another reason I didn't want to go with JBA

arh jba comparison.jpg jba driver side rust 18 mos.jpg jba rust 18 mos.jpg

Last 2 pics were after 18 mos. 304 stainless is the higher grade stuff which is in AR and Kooks

Must've been a relatively recent change because I've seen multiple pics like what I posted. 409 is probably what they were using.

I don't know how recent. But they list it on their website for like $50 more or something like that.

I'm actively shopping both brands so I want to make sure the information out there is accurate.

I was pretty cold to the idea of adding LT headers, however - thanks to this thread and others, I am warming up to the idea of installing the direct connect kit from ARH on my RCSB.

Yes, Nick said the one that was previously posted in this thread was the correct one that was designed from my truck.

The 'TRD' option is correct for '07 to '09 RCSB.

Yes, but feel free to call them and verify. I can only repeat what i hear from the source.
I can tell you that there is no difference in the way the stock midpipes fit to the TRD dual exhaust than it does the factory exhaust. Therefore the "TRD" statement is prob unnecessary.

its prob stated that way since their catback will not fit if you choose this system. You would be on your own to source a catback for these model years. Also it would be kind of silly to bolt these headers to a stock catback.
You have an option to either choose the 07-09 "TRD" if you are using your catback, or go with their full system which will change the midpipes to the current model offering.
